Actual note found inside a library copy of this book, so I'm posting it for posterity and giving it one star.

Judging from the movie adaptation that I watched a few years ago, I would have to agree with the reviewer below. -MC

"Dear Cheryl,

The Tenth Insight soon lost me. After page 130 I had trouble making sense of it. I could follow connecting with the spiritual energy within. I could follow Redfield's being mad at what the white man did to the Indian, and building that into his story. But curing a sprained ankle with thought is too much, and going back to previous lives to see why things are happening to us in this life. The Celestine Prophecy was great but in the Tenth Insight, for me James Redfield got lost.

(signed) Dad"

This note provides an interesting perspective on the book "The Tenth Insight" by James Redfield. The person who wrote the note seems to have had high expectations based on their experience with "The Celestine Prophecy," which they found great. However, they quickly became lost in "The Tenth Insight" after page 130. They had difficulty understanding some of the concepts, such as curing a sprained ankle with thought and going back to previous lives. While they could follow the idea of connecting with the spiritual energy within and Redfield's take on the white man's treatment of the Indians, these other elements seemed too far-fetched for them. Overall, the note serves as a reminder that not everyone will have the same experience with a book, and that different people may have different levels of acceptance for certain ideas and concepts.

Great sequel!

However, in my opinion, it is less insightful than Celestine Prophecy. Some of the so-called "riveting" realizations seem rather trivial when compared to the profound insights presented in the first book of the series.

Nonetheless, I am still excited to discover the 11th Insight.

In my eyes, James Redfield remains a genius. His ability to create thought-provoking stories and introduce new ideas is truly remarkable.

Although this sequel may not reach the same level of depth as the first book, it still has its own merits.

The story continues to unfold, and there are still many interesting aspects to explore.

I look forward to seeing how the 11th Insight will further expand on the ideas and concepts presented in the previous books.

Overall, despite its shortcomings, this sequel is still a worthy addition to the series.

Nekem ez már túl sok volt.

This simple sentence holds a profound meaning. It expresses a sense of exhaustion or reaching a limit. Maybe it refers to a situation where someone has endured too much, whether it's work, stress, or other challenges.

Perhaps the person has been pushed to their breaking point and can no longer handle the burden. It could also imply a feeling of dissatisfaction or a desire for change.

Whatever the context, this statement conveys a powerful emotion. It makes us wonder what led to this point and what the person will do next. Will they find a way to overcome the difficulties or will they choose to walk away?

Overall, "Nekem ez már túl sok volt" is a thought-provoking phrase that invites us to reflect on our own experiences and the limits we face in life.

Still a good read, however the first book (The celestine prophecy) was better. I felt like I could relate more to it. When I find something I can relate to, I become more interested.

The odd chapter within this book withdrew my attention from it a little. It seemed that these particular chapters didn't quite engage me as much as the others. However, when the majority of the chapters were better and truly worth the read. They had a certain charm and depth that kept me hooked.

I am glad I kept to it in the end. Despite the few less interesting chapters, the overall experience of reading this book was still valuable. It offered some unique perspectives and ideas that made me think. I would recommend it to others, but I would also mention that the first book had a special allure that might make it a more preferred choice for some.

The Ottoman introductions book was really beautiful.

However, the content of the second part of this book can be summarized in 30 pages.

This shows that although the book has an attractive appearance, the content of its second part may not be as rich and detailed as expected.

Perhaps the author could have provided more in-depth analysis and examples to support the ideas presented in this part.

On the other hand, it could also be that the nature of the content lends itself well to a more concise presentation.

Regardless, it is important for readers to be aware of the potential limitations of the book's second part when considering its overall value.

They can then decide whether the beauty of the book and the content of the other parts are sufficient to meet their needs and interests.

After reading the first one, I was extremely excited to learn about the 10th.

So, I think my expectations were set too high.

I have indeed enjoyed the book, but the story was not as intense as I had anticipated.

Moreover, it was a bit too vague for my personal liking.

Perhaps I was looking for a more detailed and engaging narrative that would really draw me in and keep me on the edge of my seat.

However, despite these minor disappointments, the book still had its merits.

The characters were well-developed, and the overall concept was interesting.

It just didn't quite live up to the high standards I had set for it.

Nonetheless, I would still recommend it to others who might have different expectations or preferences.

Maybe they will find the story more captivating and fulfilling than I did.

After all, everyone has their own unique way of experiencing and enjoying a book.

This book did not provide me with more answers to life. Instead, it left me with more questions.

Personally, I've discovered that it's the "questions" that I cherish most, more so than hoping for a discovery or a revelation.

I don't expect I'll ever have those answers about life's journey even if I lived many lifetimes. That's okay.

I remember back in my college days when one of my professors said, "When you graduate and discover that you have more questions than answers than when you first came here, then you will have had a great education."

He was right. In fact, the process of constantly asking questions and seeking answers is what enriches our minds and broadens our perspectives.

Each question leads us to explore new ideas, challenge our existing beliefs, and ultimately grow as individuals.

Although we may never find all the answers, the pursuit of knowledge and understanding is a never-ending journey that makes life truly meaningful.

So, instead of being frustrated by the lack of answers, we should embrace the questions and use them as a driving force to continuously learn and evolve.

After all, it's not the destination that matters, but the journey itself.

Sometimes life mirrors fiction in ways that make you stop and reflect, as if you’ve stumbled into the very pages of a book.

That’s precisely how The Celestine Prophecy entered my life. It wasn’t merely a novel; it was an uncanny experience that seemed to be lifted directly from its own narrative.

It all commenced with a chance encounter. I crossed paths with a man who left an impression on me as being thoughtful and engaging. At that moment, little did I know that he was James Redfield, the author of The Celestine Prophecy. We had an interesting conversation, but it was just a passing moment, a fleeting interaction that I didn’t give much thought to after it concluded.

Weeks later, an Amazon book order arrived. To my astonishment, the package contained The Celestine Prophecy, even though I had ordered an entirely different book. When I reached out to Amazon, they instructed me to keep it. Out of curiosity, I began reading it. The further I delved into the book, the stronger the sense of recognition grew within me. The concepts in the story regarding synchronicity, chance encounters, and the interconnectedness of life appeared eerily similar to what that man I had conversed with had been describing. A bit of research confirmed my suspicion: the man I had met was indeed James Redfield.

This serendipitous sequence of events added a profound layer to my reading experience. The novel itself was an enjoyable and thought-provoking journey. Its exploration of human connection, intuition, and the spiritual energy that binds us all deeply resonated with me. While the book’s structure and fictional elements might not appeal to everyone, the central message of interconnectedness endures. It serves as a reminder to remain open to the unexpected, to perceive the threads that link people and experiences together, even in the most ordinary of moments.

The Celestine Prophecy came into my life in a manner that felt like a gentle nudge from the universe, as if it were whispering, “Pay attention.” And I’m truly glad that I did. The novel not only entertained me but also inspired me to view my own life and relationships with a fresh sense of wonder and purpose. Whether you believe in synchronicity or not, the book offers a timeless reminder to stay attuned to the world around you and the unseen connections that shape our lives.

Dualistic, hierarchical language that privileges North American and European versions of history and is determined to continue economic and political constructs is a big fail.

It is truly a significant shortcoming. I absolutely understand that it is extremely difficult to put esoteric experiences and theories into words. The complexity and depth of such concepts often pose a great challenge when it comes to expressing them accurately. However, the language itself was a significant barrier in this regard.

Despite these difficulties, there was some inspiration for my own writing. The author was successful on occasion in presenting ideas that managed to break through the limitations of the language and offer unique perspectives. This shows that even within the constraints of a flawed language system, there is still room for creativity and innovation.

Nonetheless, the overall dominance of the dualistic and hierarchical language remains a problem that needs to be addressed. We must strive to develop a more inclusive and diverse language that can better represent the rich tapestry of human experiences and cultures around the world.

I truly LOVED the Celestine Prophecy, and thus this book was of great significance on my reading list. However, I was truly disappointed.

The adventure within the story was entirely set in ‘other dimensions’, a concept that I simply couldn't fully embrace. Moreover, it was extremely political and theoretical.

The long passages that detailed the past and future political landscapes left me completely unengaged to such an extent that I simply couldn't focus.

Perhaps it was the wrong timing for me to read this book. But for me, I found the process of reading this book to be a real chore. It failed to capture my interest and hold my attention as I had initially expected.

I had high hopes for this book, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. Maybe I'll give it another try at a different time, but for now, I'm left feeling rather let down.

This one is truly powerful. It embarks you on a long and arduous journey, making you feel as if you are an extremely important part of that very adventure.

Just like John gets lost during the journey, I too felt a sense of confusion - halfway through the book, I simply could not fathom what was transpiring - especially since I had not read Celestine Prophecy #1. It required a second reading for me to finally understand what was going on.

Reading this book was a distinct kind of experience. It was not as weighty as my previous book, "Autobiography of a Yogi", yet it was not a facile read either. At one moment, I was even curious to delve deeper into the insights for real and I desperately desired to see my Birth vision and also pondered if I could verify whether the World vision was indeed true.

While I will most definitely read Celestine Prophecy #1, I also question if my perspective of this book would change. If you have an inclination towards Religious fiction, thriller, or mystery genres, then by all means, give it a go!
