It was just a dream!

In the quiet of the night, I found myself lost in a strange and wonderful world. It was a place filled with colors and sounds that I had never experienced before. I was running through a field of wildflowers, the wind gently caressing my face. The sun was shining bright above me, warming my skin.

As I ran, I saw a beautiful castle in the distance. I knew that I had to reach it, so I picked up my pace. When I finally arrived at the castle, I was greeted by a kind and gentle king. He showed me around the castle, and I was amazed by all of the beautiful rooms and treasures.

But then, suddenly, I woke up. It was all just a dream. I lay in my bed, feeling a little sad that it was over. But at the same time, I was grateful for the wonderful experience that I had just had. It was a reminder that even in our dreams, we can find beauty and magic.

For the Celebrity Death Match Review Tournament, The Annotated Alice (6) versus The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (27)

"Let us hear the evidence!" said the King. The White Rabbit opened the letter and began reading aloud:

The Knave of Hearts, he killed some tarts
And kept them in his cellar...

"Stuff and nonsense!" interrupted Alice loudly. "That's not how it goes at all!"

"Silence in court!" said the King. "And you, young lady, will go and sleep with Mikael Blomkvist right now!"

"I shan't!" said Alice stubbornly.

"Rule 42," said the King in a trembling voice. "Every attractive woman has to sleep with the Mary Sue character. It's the oldest rule in the book."

"If it were the oldest rule in the book," said Alice, "then it would be number one. And I'll sleep with whom I please."

There was a collective gasp, and all the members of the court threw themselves at Alice. But she was now so tall that she didn't feel the least bit worried, and simply brushed them off.

"You're just a pack of cheap thriller clichés!" she said. In this strange courtroom of the Celebrity Death Match Review Tournament, the clash between The Annotated Alice and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo took an absurd turn. The King's strange ruling and Alice's defiance added to the chaos. As she brushed off the court members, it was clear that she was not one to abide by such ridiculous rules. And then, suddenly, she woke up, leaving us to wonder if this whole encounter was just a dream within the strange world of literary battles.

I find myself in a strange state where I feel deeply understood by something that doesn't even seem to have any rational sense. It makes me question my own sanity and existence.

Do I even have sense? Do I truly exist? These thoughts swirl in my mind like a storm.

Am I just dreaming? Am I going mad? Or perhaps, as the saying goes, we're all a little mad here.

The idea that something without sense can understand me is both fascinating and disturbing. It challenges my perception of reality and makes me wonder if there are forces at play that I cannot comprehend.

Maybe this is all just a figment of my imagination, a product of a mind that is desperate for connection and meaning. Or maybe there is something more profound and mysterious going on.

As I grapple with these questions, I am left with a sense of confusion and uncertainty. But perhaps that is the nature of life - a never-ending exploration of the unknown, where we are constantly faced with questions that have no easy answers.

WHAT LIBRARIAN MESSED AROUND WITH ALICE IN WONDERLAND? This is truly baffling. The edition I read as a child was changed in 2004, and I have no idea who would do such a thing. I reviewed the original Alice in Wonderland, but now this altered version is on my bookshelves. Where in the Librarians Manual does it state that they can make these changes and then make them unchangeable? I'm extremely frustrated and will transfer this review to the proper edition. Can you sense my fury? I'm really typing in caps furious!

This book makes perfect sense if you had a misspent youth and dabbled in psychedelic substances, just like Lewis Carroll undoubtedly did. He clearly had a penchant for opium. If you've ever had a trippy experience of getting bigger and smaller, seeing things half disappear in the air, and inanimate objects suddenly coming to life, then you'll understand the fun of this book. Lewis Carroll wrote Alice as a children's fantasy, but I firmly believe that he and his friends must have had a quiet chuckle at no one guessing the source of his inspiration. Or perhaps they laughed out loud at the magic mushroom with the caterpillar sitting on it smoking his hookah, the little bottle of 'drink me', and other drug references.

We often turn a blind eye to what we don't want to see. I don't mind if you think I'm completely wrong and that I shouldn't sully Lewis Carroll with such ideas as drug trips. He's already been the subject of plenty of other accusations, so one more won't make a difference. Of course, I'm using'sullied' here in an ironic way.

What could be better than revisiting an old classic that you read during your childhood? It's akin to perusing a diary you penned in your younger days, but instead of ridiculing your past self for stupidity or absurdity, you find yourself chuckling at the adventures. In this case, it's the wild escapades of an extremely curious little girl named Alice in a fantastical world filled with strange and extraordinary characters.

One of the most captivating aspects of the story is Alice's transformation in size throughout her adventure. Carroll's use of this device to enhance the narrative and make it more engaging is truly remarkable. Whether it proves beneficial or not to the protagonist, it never fails to pique the reader's curiosity and compel them to devour the book in a single sitting.

Moreover, this book offers valuable morals that can be appreciated by readers of all ages, from young children to teenagers and adults alike. Although it is a children's classic, the perspective and the morals drawn can vary depending on one's age and life experiences. Deciphering the meaning behind Lewis Carroll's writing is always an enjoyable and thought-provoking exercise.

The situations in the book, while often awkward for the characters, are precisely what make it so much fun and entertaining. However, the only drawback for me is the ending. I really don't like it when the character wakes up and realizes that it was all just a dream. It gives the impression that the entire fantastical world I had been immersed in was nothing more than a figment of imagination, which can be quite disappointing. Nevertheless, aside from this minor quibble, I love every other aspect of the book. It's a wonderful reminder of the great things from my childhood and a book that I will undoubtedly reread.

Alice was truly frustrated as she witnessed the continuous arguing among all the creatures. "It's really dreadful," she muttered to herself, "the way all the creatures argue. It's enough to drive one crazy!" This constant bickering seemed to have no end, and it was wearing her down. I, too, could understand her feelings. I agreed with her wholeheartedly.

"It's really dreadful," she muttered to herself, "the way all the creatures argue. It's enough to drive one crazy!"

I said, "I agree, Alice. I agree."

P.S: This situation was rather interesting, but to be honest, I also fell asleep twice while experiencing this. However, I don't entirely blame it on the book or the circumstances. The truth is, I was simply exhausted. My tiredness was the main culprit for my dozing off. But still, the events and the arguing creatures did make for an unusual and somewhat tiresome scene.

I had never read "Alice in Wonderland" before!

But I read its original language, and wow! Wow wow wow! What can I say! I enjoyed it so much, I enjoyed it so much that I wished I were Alice! Lewis Carroll seemed to have no obstacle to his imagination and fully devoted himself to the events and characters. The characterizations were not profound at all. There were no special descriptions, no special dialogues. But it was so clever and concise, especially concise, and this license was really admirable. (My sentence is half left. :)) The character of Alice was very likeable. There were moments when I laughed, thought, daydreamed, and had everything together. Alice hiccuped, was upset, was happy, was curious, was sad, was confused, was smart, and was really a child. In the end, she was simple. But I understood each of her emotions one by one, even though she was simple. Even though her character was not complex.

I remembered coming here to mention some dialogues and scenes, but it has been several days since I finished reading it and I had a lot of confidence in my memory. Now my heart has risen to the point where it hurts. I want to read it again so that I can enjoy it again and all its scenes can be fresh in my mind.

+ When Alice woke up, I said to myself no no no no no. No no no no no, you should not return to this world. I still want to go back. :((((

+ I read it for the second time from a publisher and translator that I didn't know, but it was good. I also enjoyed it the second time. And I feel that I should read "Alice in Wonderland" once a year.

'It is no use going back into yesterday,
For I was a different person then...'

says Alice... and I couldn't agree more.

I grew up with Alice, her enchanting wonderland, and the mysterious looking glass. I recall reading the books just once during my childhood, yet Alice and the crazy characters have remained dormant in a corner of my mind ever since. For years, I had been contemplating resuming my acquaintance with Alice and her loony friends. And a couple of days ago, I fortuitously came across the ebook on my tablet and began reading it. A curious peek at one or two pages soon turned into a full-fledged reading spree, and the fact that the book is only 90 pages long served as a propellant.

As an adult, I was both amused and perplexed to encounter the Rabbit, the Mouse, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the King, Queen, and Knave of hearts, along with their entire crew, the dormouse, and many others. It was a funny and curious read, and I would soon embark on a journey into the world beyond the looking glass in the company of Alice.

"The Queen of Hearts
She made some tarts,
All on a summer's day;
The Knave of Hearts
He stole those tarts,
And took them clean away."

Since I couldn't quite glean the meaning of Alice, other than the fact that it seems to make fun of the human race and its petty concerns, I sought the help of Mr. (? Mrs./Miss) Google... and was led to the following URL: https://letterpile.com/books/Alice-in...

It begins with the theory that The events in the story correlate with the steps in a child's growth and progression through childhood and adolescence. According to editors Charles Frey and John Griffin, “Alice is engaged in a romance quest for her own identity and growth, for some understanding of logic, rules, the games people play, authority, time, and death.” This theory provides an interesting perspective on the beloved tale of Alice in Wonderland.

I really didn't think I liked this story until I heard Jim Dale read it!

His narration is truly very skillful. He has the amazing ability to give each character a distinct and unique accent, which makes it extremely easy to distinguish one character from another.

As I listened to his wonderful performance, I was completely drawn into the story. The different accents added so much depth and authenticity to the characters, making them come alive in my imagination.

I found myself getting more and more involved in the plot, eagerly waiting to find out what would happen next. Before I knew it, the story had come to an end, and I was truly sorry. I wanted it to continue, to hear more of Jim Dale's精彩 narration and to follow the adventures of the characters. It was such a great listening experience that I will definitely remember for a long time.

Great!

I love it. Of course I do. There is no need for a review on this one. It is truly remarkable. The moment I encountered it, I was immediately drawn in. Its charm and appeal are undeniable. It has this unique quality that makes it stand out from the rest. Every aspect of it is just perfect. Whether it's the design, the functionality, or the overall experience, it exceeds my expectations. I can't help but express my admiration for it. It's one of those things that you know is special the moment you lay your eyes on it. I will continue to cherish it and enjoy it to the fullest.

Tut, tut, child! said the Duchess. Everything's got a moral, if only you can find it. Really? I'm having an extremely difficult time finding any kind of moral in this book.

Although I must give the author credit for his imaginative creativity, Alice in Wonderland had the feeblest excuse of a plot ever. It seemed to lack a coherent and engaging storyline that could truly capture the reader's attention.

Moreover, Alice was not the brightest character on the bookshelf. Her actions and decisions often left me scratching my head, wondering what she was thinking.

Overall, this book was the biggest bunch of "shloop" (thank you Lewis Carroll for inspiring me to invent a word) that I've ever had the misfortune to read. It failed to deliver on many fronts and left me feeling disappointed and unfulfilled.

Holds up a lot better than I expected tbh. I was initially quite skeptical when I first got this item. I thought it might not be able to withstand the test of time or the various uses I had in mind for it. However, to my pleasant surprise, it has proven to be much more durable and reliable than I had anticipated.

It has endured numerous wear and tear situations without showing any signs of significant damage. Whether it's been through regular daily use or some more challenging tasks, it has held its own. The quality of the materials used and the craftsmanship that went into making it are truly evident.

I'm really impressed with how well it has held up and would highly recommend it to others. It's definitely a great find and has exceeded my expectations.
