Normally, I have a deep affection for Terry Tempest Williams' words ever since I first had the opportunity to read her works. Her writing has always had a certain charm and power that can touch the depths of my soul. However, this particular narration seemed to have something amiss. It felt as if it was rushed, lacking the usual finesse and careful crafting that I have come to expect from her. There were moments when the flow of the story seemed disrupted, and the emotions didn't quite resonate as strongly as they should have. I found myself a bit disappointed, as I had such high hopes for this piece. But perhaps it was just an off day for her, and I'm sure she will bounce back with her usual brilliance in her future works.
