This one is absolutely pricelessly funny.

It truly brings a smile to your face and makes you burst out laughing.

My favorite moment, without a doubt, is when Anastasia decides to call the telemarketer back.

She does this not to complain or scold, but rather to seek advice on the gourmet dinner she is cooking.

The thought of a telemarketer, who is usually on the receiving end of annoyance and hang-ups, being consulted about a fancy meal is simply hilarious.

It shows Anastasia's unique and somewhat eccentric character, and it makes for a truly memorable and comical scene.

You can just imagine the confusion and surprise on the telemarketer's face when they hear Anastasia's request.

It's these kinds of unexpected and absurd moments that make this story so enjoyable and entertaining.

Overall, it's a hilarious tale that will have you laughing out loud from start to finish.

Once again, it's a funny book.

The household chore schedules in the book are interesting to read, and Anastasia's planning of dates makes people laugh.

I checked and found that this is not actually the last part of the series (although the last translated one is indeed so). In English, at least 4 more books have been published, and there is also a separate series about Sam.

If possible, these books must also be obtained from somewhere, so that one can know what else will happen to Anastasia.

Overall, this book has brought a lot of joy and entertainment, and I look forward to reading more about Anastasia's adventures.

So much fun!

Today was an amazing day filled with so many wonderful experiences. I woke up early with a sense of excitement, not knowing what adventures awaited me.

I started my day by going for a walk in the park. The sun was shining brightly, and the birds were chirping. It was a beautiful sight to see.

After that, I met up with my friends and we went to a nearby amusement park. We rode on all the rides, screamed our lungs out, and had a blast.

Later in the day, we had a picnic by the lake. We ate delicious food, played games, and just enjoyed each other's company.

As the day came to an end, I felt so grateful for all the fun and laughter. It was a day that I will never forget.

I can't wait for the next adventure to come my way.

Anastasia is still the charming and intelligent girl whose thoughts are centered around what she considers to be of utmost importance.

She is looking forward to having her first date, which is both exciting and nerve-wracking for her.

Ever since her mom left for a special invitation from California, Anastasia has taken charge of their household. This includes managing the daily chores and ensuring that everything runs smoothly.

She also revises their family nonsexist housekeeping schedule from time to time, showing her organizational skills and sense of responsibility.

Despite finding these tasks relatively easy, unexpected events start to occur.

The way the whole family deals with these daily struggles is filled with humor and warmth. They may not be a perfect family, but theirs is truly lovely and cool.

This story reminds me of how my own mother handled our family. There are certain things that mothers do that are simply unmatchable, especially when we are still kids.

I am truly happy that I read this short novel. I am eager to know more about the happenings in the life of this young heroine.

Thanks to Lois Lowry for creating such a wonderful story that made me reflect a lot.

Sometimes childhood faves shouldn't be revisited.

We often look back on our childhood favorites with a sense of nostalgia and longing. However, when we actually go back and experience them again as adults, it can be a bit of a letdown.

For example, a beloved childhood TV show might seem cheesy or outdated when we watch it again. The special effects that once amazed us may now look laughable, and the storylines that captured our imaginations may no longer hold our interest.

The same goes for toys, books, and other childhood favorites. We may have built up these items in our minds to be something truly magical, but when we see them again in the cold light of day, they may not live up to our expectations.

It's important to remember that our childhood experiences were unique to that time in our lives. We were in a different place, with different perspectives and sensitivities. What was once a source of joy and wonder may no longer have the same effect on us as adults.

So, while it can be fun to look back on our childhood favorites, sometimes it's best to leave them in the past and cherish the memories we have of them.

I have a profound love for Lois Lowry. Her works have always intrigued me with their unique charm and thought-provoking themes. However, I must admit that I have never delved into any of the Anastasia books.

Recently, I had the opportunity to read one, and to my pleasant surprise, it was an absolute delight. This YA book was filled with hilarious moments, dry wit, and a sense of humor that had me laughing out loud on several occasions.

The author did an excellent job of portraying the real struggles of 'keeping house'. It was relatable and engaging, making it easy for readers to connect with the characters and their experiences. Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a lighthearted and entertaining read.

I absolutely adored reading this series during my childhood. Therefore, it was an absolute delight to revisit it as an adult. Given that it was penned in 1985, it was likely highly progressive for its time. The Krupniks show great respect to their children and engage in conversations and reasoning with them as if they were more like adults. One can clearly observe this when Anastasia, in all her tweenager glory, critiques her mom's fashion sense or disorganization. Despite their differences, there is still an abundance of love and admiration between them. The plot element involving the ever-changing "nonsexist family housecleaning schedule" was truly hilarious.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable read aloud as Anastasia is 13 and my eldest will be turning 13 in a month. Viewing her life from a 1985 perspective necessitated some explanations. For instance, why people were attempting to sell things to Anastasia over the landline phone, why her friend was on a diet, and why they hung out at McDonald's with friends since they didn't have cellphones and computers to chat or play games.

A great deal of laughter and numerous conversations ensued from our readings. I am extremely excited to obtain the other books in the series soon!

Fun to re-read.

I think I checked this out of the library at least a dozen times as a kid.

The story of the Krupnik family always fascinated me.

It was filled with warmth, love, and a sense of community.

I wonder how much I was unknowingly influenced (in a good way) by the Krupnik family and their values.

Perhaps their strong work ethic rubbed off on me.

Or maybe their emphasis on family and friends taught me the importance of those relationships.

Rereading this now, as an adult, I can see the deeper messages and themes that I may not have fully understood as a child.

It's amazing how a book can have such a lasting impact on a person's life.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to have discovered this gem and to have been influenced by the wonderful Krupnik family.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a heartwarming and inspiring read.

I'm pretty sure this was my favorite Anastasia book as a kid. It was truly the one I reread the most often.

And it amuses me to realize that I managed to reread this particular one so very many times despite relying solely on library copies. I wonder if other kids ever had difficulties getting their hands on it, considering I was so often checking it back out for the umpteenth time.

I imagine what appealed to my homebody personality was the concept of getting to skip a week of school to engage with gourmet cooking and a stack of housekeeping schedules. Not to mention the various mischievous antics that poor Anastasia managed to get herself into. Also, Annie; Annie is even more charming when you're an adult, you all.

THINGS I REMEMBERED:

- The purple color scheme

- Annie's bleeping

- "TWENTY-ONE BOXES OF BAKING SODA??"

The purple color scheme was so vivid and memorable. It added a touch of magic and mystery to the story. Annie's bleeping was always a source of entertainment. It was a unique and funny characteristic. And that line about the twenty-one boxes of baking soda was just hilarious. It really stood out in my mind and made me laugh every time I thought about it.

**Spoiler Alert**

Ibu Anastasia felt that she wasn't a good mother because she had often forgotten to take the meat out of the freezer, resulting in their family's dinner being rather haphazard. Anastasia and her father, with some bravado, then created a daily schedule for the Krupnik family. Instead of being implemented by her mother, it was Anastasia who had to be the main player in that schedule as her mother had to go to California.

Turns out, it's not that easy to play the role of a housewife, right? - Yes.
"Coincidentally" Sam got chickenpox.
"Coincidentally" her legendary ex-husband, Annie, wanted to come over for dinner at their house.
"Coincidentally" Steve, her first friend since she moved there, invited her out on a date.
Every day, Anastasia had to revise the daily schedule of the Krupnik family.

Unable to bear it anymore, finally Anastasia called her mother and her mother happily came back immediately. After her mother's arrival, within a few hours the house was clean and tidy. Everyone was happy. And with the salary she received while working in California, her mother bought a microwave oven. Hurray! Dinner will always be safe.

This story shows the challenges that Anastasia faced when she had to take on the responsibilities of running the household. It also highlights the importance of family support and how a little help can make a big difference.
