The author, being British, sometimes focuses too much on the then-current events and situations. For example, he delves into their educational system or how church leaders were chosen in his denomination.

However, overall, the book is very good and different from anything else I've read. I would love to hear his perspective on what we could do today.

It leans more towards social commentary rather than providing a step-by-step guide on how to fix things. But understanding how we got here is often the first step in finding solutions.

I believe my dad thought that all 12-year-olds needed to have their minds activated, and he was absolutely right! I have read this book countless times, and in every season of my life, I still discover a newfound freshness within its pages.

My dad didn't stop there. He also gave me other wonderful books, such as J.B. Phillips - N.T. & Plain Christianity, The Hobbit, and C.S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters & The Great Divorce. With these books, my long journey into life was launched, although there were a few stops along the way.

This particular book is truly wonderful. I use it in every course I teach at CCU, along with others. It is a "Thinking Christianly" book that you simply must not miss.
