Stories that are dull and tiring, slow and lacking in action. They are too monotonous, too devoid of life.
What attracts me are the sorcerers, the swindlers, the spirits, the forces of nature and all kinds of powers, but with a bit more action, at least a crime.
The charm of these books lies in the dialogues, which facilitate reading and let's say the teachings, the guidance on how to become a sorcerer can be taken as advice for anyone who reads the book.
The characters seem small and weak, that is if you exclude the power they have from Nagual (the new name of Don Juan).
In this book, his absence is felt. But he has left behind many questions, uncertainties, problems to be solved without his help. Quite difficult for Carlos, caught between 4 women, different in almost all respects, being sisters. They are at his disposal, his apprentice Juan now being the Nagual.
How will he manage, how did he come to be in the position of being the Nagual when he has no idea what is happening, how he got here and what he has to do and where is Don Juan and Genaro?
It was truly a wonderful experience to revisit all of the books in this series. Each book holds a unique charm and story that draws the reader in and keeps them engaged from start to finish. The characters are well-developed and the plots are full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. Revisiting these books allows you to relive the excitement and adventure all over again. It's like going on a journey with old friends and discovering new things along the way. Whether you're a die-hard fan of the series or just looking for a great read, these books are definitely worth checking out.
