This second installment of Gilda's adventures was rather good. However, her psychic abilities didn't feature nearly as prominently as they did in the first one. Instead, she relied more on her intelligence and common sense, which, overall, worked out quite well.
Despite the absence of actual psychic events, I have to give credit to Allison for placing Gilda in a somewhat challenging situation where she has to choose between doing what is right or what is easy. After presenting her evidence to the authority figure who could actually make things right, we see that the authority figure seems to struggle with the evidence and whether or not to go to the police. Even worse, the authority figure punishes Gilda for bringing to light the uncomfortable and inconvenient truth.
I'm checking out the third one today and I simply can't wait because in it, Gilda goes to Oxford, England! I'm really looking forward to seeing what new adventures and challenges await her in this prestigious and historic location. It's bound to be an exciting read!
I was truly petrified while reading this. The sensation was so intense that I literally had chills running up my spine and down my legs. It was an experience that left me on the edge of my seat. This book, despite having some elements that were slightly predictable, was still extremely interesting. The author managed to create a captivating atmosphere that kept me engaged from the very beginning. The story had its twists and turns, and although I could sometimes anticipate what was going to happen next, it didn't detract from my overall enjoyment. I found myself completely immersed in the world that the author had created, and I couldn't wait to see how the story would unfold. Overall, it was a great read that I would highly recommend to others.
