No one wants to see his own truth... This is the verdict of this theater.

In life, we often find ourselves reluctant to face the harsh reality within us. We may put on masks, hide our flaws, and pretend to be someone we are not. But the theater has a way of revealing the truth, whether we like it or not.

Through the performances on stage, we can see the raw emotions, the hidden desires, and the complex personalities of the characters. It is as if the theater is a mirror, reflecting back to us a distorted image of ourselves.

Sometimes, this reflection can be uncomfortable, even painful. But it is also a necessary step towards self-awareness and growth. By seeing the truth about ourselves, we can begin to make the changes we need to become better people.

So, while we may not always want to see our own truth, we should embrace the opportunity when it presents itself. Because in the end, it is only by facing the truth that we can truly understand ourselves and find our place in this world.

After stopping reading for a few days, I return to my beloved Spanish literature. "Buitre" is one of the most important plays in Spanish theater. It writes about the suffering of human beings and their problems such as poverty, ignorance, and social injustice.

"Buitre" is famous for its opposition to the Franco regime and its open support for the Republicans. The author was imprisoned for several years and then wrote many realistic and dramatic plays for the theater. In this play, "Buitre" discusses blindness symbolically through a house for the elderly. They live in the illusion of happiness until a new tenant comes and tries to change their ideas and beliefs. After a short period, we find that his influence has emerged on some of his colleagues. But does everything go so simply?!

I recommend reading it. Please do not read the introduction or the critical analysis until you do not burn the end of the play on yourself..

I am still yet to be disappointed with a work by Vallejo...

On this occasion, picture a school for the blind that is rather optimistic and happy. However, one day Ignacio arrives, a blind student whose view of life is completely contrary. Ignacio's lamentation and dissatisfaction revolutionize the school, shattering the established harmony. Is it okay to conform to living a life as a blind person without being able to appreciate the beauties of the world? Ignacio says "no", and then the war begins between those who aspire to be happy despite being blind and those who question whether this is even a possibility.

From the debates it presents (a work as philosophical as El tragaluz) to the narrative style, this book has no waste. That's why I highly recommend reading it :D

**The Blazing Darkness**

A Play

By Antonio Buero Vallejo

The play tells the story of a home for the blind. All its residents and attendants live in perfect peace, believing that their lives are the best available in the world. But everything changes when a new resident arrives. He completely rejects the reality and refuses to accept what is said among them about the life they lead. The new resident claims that there is a different life lived by those who can see and wishes to have the gift of sight to see the beauty of the sky with its shining stars.

The revolution brought about by the new resident is followed by others until the life of the home they live in is disrupted and there is no more peace due to the ideas he spreads in the minds of the blind.

The story ends with the murder of the new resident and the transfer of the leadership of the idea from him to a friend in the home. The idea did not die with him but lived on in another individual who adopted it in the end.

When I started reading this play, I found a great similarity between it and the play "Point of View" by Muhammad Sabhi. In general, the play is worthy of reading.

The things that make you stumble are fear and despair! You will carry the staff of your life all your life. And you will stumble all your life. Have the courage to rely on us! For we do not stumble!

Why don't you try to control yourself? I know you don't want evil for anyone, but you cause it.

The source of your frustration is your lack of a sense of the hope that you brought to them.

I have been completely charmed.

The theater of Buero Vallejo is from another world.

It has such a unique charm and depth that it truly captivates the audience.

The stories he tells and the way he presents them are simply remarkable.

After experiencing this one piece, I have made up my mind that I will read his complete works.

I am eager to explore more of his artistic creations and be further immersed in the wonderful world he has constructed.

I believe that each of his works will bring me new surprises and insights, and I am looking forward to this journey of discovery.

Overall, my encounter with Buero Vallejo's theater has been an extremely positive and fulfilling experience.

With blindness as the central theme, Vallejo shows us the darkness in which man, burdened with theatricality and a tragic sense, finds himself. However, from my point of view, it is not a masterpiece of the author, although it has been idolized several times. The only scene that is fully consistent in my opinion is the one that closes the third act, where a dialogue full of meaning, significance, and contradiction is presented. The rest of the play, even though the theme is correct, seems to me to be loose, cheesy, and even forced. It is a recommended reading for starting to read theater, but not for immersing oneself in it.

The play does have its moments, but overall, it fails to live up to the expectations that have been placed on it. The characters could have been developed more deeply, and the plot could have been more engaging. There are also some elements that seem out of place or forced, which detracts from the overall experience. Despite these flaws, it is still a valuable work that can provide some insights into the themes of blindness and tragedy.

Perhaps with a more critical eye and a deeper understanding of the author's intentions, one could appreciate the play more fully. However, as it stands, it is a flawed but still interesting work that is worth reading for those who are interested in theater or the themes it explores.

I will search to see if there is anything out there that relates in the burning darkness to Marianela. Let's see (let's see eh... ironic).

This statement seems to convey a sense of mystery and anticipation. The person is determined to look for something that might have a connection to Marianela in the midst of a rather intense and perhaps somewhat foreboding darkness. The use of the word "ironic" adds an element of complexity, making one wonder what kind of unexpected relationship or discovery might be lurking in the shadows.

Perhaps the search is not just for a physical object or a specific event but for a deeper understanding or meaning that Marianela represents. It could be that the darkness symbolizes the unknown or the hidden aspects of life that the person is trying to uncover in relation to Marianela. Overall, this short passage leaves the reader with a sense of curiosity and a desire to know more about what will be found in this search.

I'm not usually into plays. In fact, I often find them a bit dull and hard to follow. However, this one is an absolute exception.

From the moment the curtain rose, I was completely captivated. The story was engaging, filled with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were well-developed and brought to life by the talented actors. Their performances were so powerful that I could feel their emotions as if they were my own.

The set design was also outstanding. It was detailed and immersive, transporting me to another world. The lighting and sound effects added to the overall atmosphere, making the experience even more unforgettable.

Overall, this play is a must-see. It has changed my perception of theater and left me eager to see more. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great night out.

One of my favorites by Buero Vallejo, the plot is truly astonishing and, above all, how the play is told from a very complex perspective, which is blindness.

It makes the audience deeply engage with the story and forces them to view the world through the eyes of the blind characters.

The way Buero Vallejo portrays the emotions, struggles, and hopes of the blind individuals is both powerful and poignant.

It shows how even in the darkness, there can be light and how the human spirit can persevere.

Bravo! This work is a masterpiece that will surely leave a lasting impression on anyone who experiences it.❤️
