After reading it, I found it to be highly entertaining.

The writing style and the overall tone of the series are quite similar to that of Rita Mae Brown.

Just like in Rita Mae Brown's works, this series also manages to capture the readers' attention from the very beginning and keep them engaged throughout.

It is very interesting indeed. The content covers different subjects. Once again, I find the stories about these little cats truly amazing. Can I really imagine the possibilities of the legends being real? I own a wonderful old cat. He is 16 years old. Oscar always lets me know when it is almost time for his dinner. However, precisely telling me what his kitty heart desires, that's a no-go.

There are also topics like stolen priceless artifacts and spouse abuse, which are quite interesting. By the way, this was an audiobook that I listened to. It provided a unique listening experience. The narrator's voice brought the stories to life. I could picture the scenes and the characters in my mind. It was truly an engaging and enjoyable experience.

I have a deep love for the characters.

When it comes to mystery books that involve cats and their diverse qualities, whether positive or not, a friend inquired if I had read the ones where the cats can talk. My initial response wasn't favorable, as I thought it might be too cheesy to be enjoyable.

Nevertheless, after picking up this particular book at our library book sale and beginning to read, I found myself so engaged that I had to take it with me when I went on vacation to finish it. The cats that communicate in this story are few in number. They understand the importance of keeping their ability on the downlow. Moreover, they are endowed with a certain degree of logic and intelligence.

This was a truly delightful mystery that was solved by Dulcie, Joe Grey, and their shy and reticent friends. The story had me hooked from start to finish, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it despite my initial reservations about talking cats in a mystery novel. It goes to show that sometimes, you have to give something a chance before you can truly appreciate it.

Why oh why does my library only have three out of this whole series? It's really quite frustrating.

These books are truly great. The plot is fast-paced and refreshing, which keeps me on the edge of my seat. However, since I'm reading them out of order, I do wish I could start from the beginning.

Although I'm a little confused by the characters' names at times (for example, Charlie and Ryan are female, which threw me off a bit), the cats are the real highlights. There's the burly, rule-breaking tomcat Joe, the sweet and worried Dulcie, and the inquisitive and slightly mistrustful Kit. They are the main reason I keep coming back to this series.

In fact, I'm so desperate to read the whole series that I'm even begging my in-laws in the next town over to get a library card. That way, I can borrow the books from their library for free. (It's either a five-dollar fee to get a book from their library to mine or a 45-minute drive. I think you can guess which option I'll be choosing!)

That being said, you do have to get used to the idea of the cats talking. It takes some time to wrap your head around the concept of not just talking cats, but feeling, smart, and almost human cats.

Once I sort out the library situation, I'll definitely be returning to this series as often as I can. Until then, I'll have to say goodbye to it and continue to grumble about my annoying library for not having more of these wonderful books.

Overall, the action and story line of this piece are quite good.

However, I do think there is one significant error. Here's a bit of a spoiler. After Wilma's car is found in her own garage, Clyde and Joe go to the place where she had been to search for clues. And it is stated that "no one had seen her car yet, and the CHP was on the lookout for it"! Is this what we call a plot hole?

I did like the involvement of the three ferals from the last book. But I believe that something more concrete should have been done to express gratitude for their help. For example, bringing them a platter from Jolly's Deli would have been a nice gesture.

This small oversight in the plot does detract a little from the overall enjoyment of the story. But despite this, the action and the story still manage to hold the reader's attention. It would be interesting to see if the author addresses this plot hole in future installments or if it is simply overlooked.

Overall, it's a good read with some room for improvement.

Despite this, I will be passing this book on to my cat-loving friends. I believe they will appreciate the entertaining theory of the cats and find it an enjoyable read as well. It's always nice to share good books with others and spread the joy of reading.

However, this particular one seems to have had some issues. Either it didn't download properly, which is a bit frustrating, or the ending was a little too vague for my liking.

I prefer things to be neatly wrapped up, with all the loose ends tied. In contrast, the other Joe Cat books that I've read had standalone endings that left me feeling satisfied.

It's a bit of a disappointment that this one didn't quite meet my expectations in that regard. Nevertheless, I still have a soft spot for the overall series and look forward to reading more in the future, hoping that the next installment will have a more conclusive and fulfilling ending.
