I just could never get into the story. This book was not as I expected after hearing good reviews on the author's books. It's quite disappointing. I had high hopes for it, but unfortunately, it failed to capture my interest. The plot seemed to drag on, and the characters didn't really come alive for me. I found myself constantly losing focus and having to force myself to keep reading. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea, but I really wanted to like this book. I'll probably think twice before picking up another one of this author's works.
There is an interesting additional feline character in this story. It has a certain charm and uniqueness that catches one's attention. However, I hope it doesn't stick around for too long. Maybe it's because its presence brings some unexpected complications or perhaps it just doesn't quite fit in with the overall atmosphere. But still, it's hard to ignore its interesting qualities. It might have a mischievous look in its eyes or a peculiar way of moving. It makes me wonder what its role will be in the story and if it will cause more trouble or bring some sort of resolution. Overall, while it's an interesting addition, I'm not sure if I want it to stay for the long haul.
I am completely addicted to Joe Grey and Dulcie, and now the Kit as well. The books just keep getting better and better with each passing one. I have a firm intention to read every single one of them. Joe and his relationship with his human roommate Clyde can have its ups and downs at times. There are moments when they fuss and feud, especially when it comes to Joe's penchant for getting involved in police matters. However, beneath all that, there is (dare I say it?) love between the two. It creeps in slowly, almost unnoticed, amidst all the chaos and bickering. Yes, I freely admit it. I have a deep love for Joe Grey. His adventures and the way he interacts with the world around him are simply captivating. I can't wait to see what new escapades he and his feline friends will get into in the next book.
