Review for the audio book:

I have to say that this audio book was truly a challenge to focus on. I made several attempts to listen carefully, but it was extremely difficult.

The narration might not have been engaging enough, or perhaps the content itself didn't hold my interest.

I found myself constantly getting distracted and having to rewind to catch what I missed.

Despite my best efforts, I finally had to give up.

It's a shame because I had high hopes for this audio book, but unfortunately, it just didn't meet my expectations.

Maybe it would be more suitable for someone with a different listening style or interest.

Overall, I cannot recommend this audio book based on my personal experience.

I downloaded the audiobook and listened to it.

Over the past weekend, I had the opportunity to watch author Amy Tan's Netflix Documentary: Unintended Memoir.

The documentary delved deep into the family relationships, with a particular focus on her bond with her mother, which played a crucial role in shaping her art.

Previously, I had not read any of Amy Tan's books, but this documentary provided me with a fascinating insight into how she evolved into the writer adored by readers around the globe.

As a result, I now have a list of two of her works that I'm eager to read, and The Moon Lady, the children's book, tops that list.

In The Moon Lady, a grandmother shares the story of getting lost at the age of seven on a boat during a moon festival.

Her adventures and connection to the Moon Lady spark the imaginations of her three granddaughters, teaching them valuable lessons about the emergence of the shadow side of their personalities and the realization of dreams when they are true desires.

The colorful artwork by Gretchen Shields beautifully captures the essence of the story.

The Moon Lady offers a valuable lesson for both children and adults, emphasizing the importance of understanding one's true nature and not suppressing the hidden aspects of one's personality.

After reading two heavy books like The Autobiography of Malcolm X and Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community?, The Moon Lady serves as an excellent palate cleanser.
