Wise and wonderful Anne Lamott was absolute balm for my soul.

On its surface, this appears to be a mere advice book for writers. However, it is so much more than that. It is truly a profound source of advice for life, presented in a delightfully funny, brutally honest, and deeply inspirational way.

Her lessons are numerous and are written with such beauty that they seem to leap off the page. At the core, they boil down to essential qualities: honesty, which allows us to face the truth about ourselves and our work; diligence, the unwavering commitment to putting in the effort; perseverance, the ability to keep going even when faced with obstacles and setbacks; and compassion, the understanding and kindness we should show to ourselves and others.

What could be better than these life-changing lessons?

And as she so beautifully puts it, "Don't look down to see if your feet are doing it right. Just dance." This simple yet powerful statement encourages us to let go of our self-doubt and just embrace the journey of life, trusting that we will find our way.

This book is about writing and book writing. If you are interested, it can provide you with good information. Also, the author's training from childhood and his involvement in writing are included in the book. Reading it was very time-consuming for me, but overall, it was a good book.

It delved deep into the various aspects of the writing process, offering valuable insights and tips. The author's personal journey added an interesting dimension to the narrative.

Although it took me a while to get through, I found that the knowledge and inspiration I gained from it were well worth the effort.

Whether you are a budding writer or simply have an interest in the world of literature, this book is definitely worth a read.

It may not be the most exciting or fast-paced book, but its substance and practical advice make it a valuable addition to any bookshelf.

I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their writing skills or gain a better understanding of the art of writing.

I had never thought before that one day I might be able to write a book or become a writer. The truth is that I don't really have a special interest in this work, and I prefer to just enjoy reading good books.

However, I was drawn to this book for two reasons: first, because the book was a gift from the dear "Avangarde Magazine", and second, because the title of the book was "Some Lessons about Writing and Life", and I hoped that if I couldn't use its lessons about writing, at least I could gain some benefit from those about life.

The first few chapters of the book were written so smoothly, touchingly, and frankly that I read 100 pages without stopping, and even several times during these few chapters, I felt a little urge to go and write something!

But almost from the second part onwards, I couldn't establish a connection with it anymore. I felt that it was no longer talking about the good things and pleasures of writing, and in some cases, it was so boring on several consecutive pages that I wanted to ask it, why on earth did you become a writer?

After that, it started to express its religious beliefs, which really didn't suit my taste. Because the way it dealt with problems was highly influenced by religion, and I simply didn't agree with them. And I don't think if someone deals with their problems in this way, they will get a good answer!

But in the end, there were also some things that made the book likable for me. It talked frankly and without fear about the failures it had suffered, which made me, as a reader, feel less afraid and hesitant about writing.

In my opinion, the book is not necessarily about writing. It is more about creativity. That's why I was able to use many of the points it made. But in my opinion, the main audience of the book, that is, those who want to write and may become writers, will benefit much more from the book than I do and enjoy it more. Because the pen of the author is very touching!
