The first play was quite likable, but the others were already less so.

It is written boldly and vividly. All the characters are alive and different, and it is easy to imagine them. The dialogues are interesting.

However, the situations, in my opinion, are too bold and abnormal. The author is not afraid to make his heroes act, and there is movement and events in the plays. For me, who was raised on Russian literature, there are even too many actions.

The atmosphere is very American, and all the heroes, without exception, are very lonely.

Overall, the plays have their own unique charm, but they also have some aspects that I find a bit hard to accept.

I think the author's boldness in creating characters and situations is both a strength and a weakness.

It makes the plays stand out, but it also makes them a bit too extreme for some audiences.

Nevertheless, I still appreciate the author's effort in creating these works and look forward to seeing more of his or her future works.

"Still Rocks My World"

This simple phrase holds a world of meaning. It implies that something has such a profound impact that it continues to amaze, excite, and have a significant influence. It could refer to a song, a book, a movie, a person, or an experience.

When something "still rocks my world," it means that it has stood the test of time. It has not lost its charm or appeal, but rather, has become even more precious with each passing day. It is that one thing that can always bring a smile to your face, a skip to your step, and a sense of joy and fulfillment.

For example, a particular song might have been your favorite for years. Every time you hear it, it takes you back to a specific moment in your life, fills you with emotions, and makes you feel alive. Or perhaps a person has had a lasting impact on you. Their presence, their words, or their actions continue to inspire and motivate you, long after they are gone.

In conclusion, "still rocks my world" is a powerful expression that captures the essence of something truly special. It reminds us to cherish those things that have had a profound impact on our lives and to never take them for granted.

I've been a die-hard fan of Tennessee Williams ever since I laid my hands on my mom's petite copies of A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. In those years when Dumaguete was devoid of bookstores, these two books were reread to the point of being in tatters.

This particular collection houses four outstanding stories. The initial two stories vividly expose a palpable desperation for affection and that innate need for connection. Among them, the third play, Suddenly, Last Summer, is overtly surreal. Its conclusion leaves you in a state of wonderment, making you question, "Did I read that correctly? Did that actually occur?" This play was flawlessly translated to the big screen by a remarkable cast. Katharine Hepburn shone as Ms Venable, Elizabeth Taylor was captivating as Catherine, Monty Clift was excellent as Dr Cukrowitz, and Julian Ugarte, an actor unfamiliar to me, made a memorable appearance in the fringes of the film as Sebastian.

The fourth play, Period of Adjustment, is perhaps the lightest one I've read by Tennessee Williams. It too was adapted into a movie, starring the ever-reliable Jane Fonda and Jim Hutton.

These works of Tennessee Williams have truly left an indelible mark on my literary and cinematic journey.

I always enjoy Williams' plays for their many-layered themes and their remarkable ability to bring to life and create vivid and memorable imagery. His works have a unique charm that is both horrible and beautiful at the same time. The complex and intertwined themes in his plays offer a deep exploration of human nature, emotions, and the human condition. Each character is carefully crafted, with their own flaws and virtues, making them relatable and engaging. The vivid imagery that Williams creates through his words is truly captivating. It allows the audience to visually imagine the scenes and settings, enhancing the overall impact of the play. Whether it is the desolate landscapes or the passionate relationships, his imagery leaves a lasting impression. Williams' plays are not only a form of entertainment but also a means of exploring the deeper aspects of our lives.

Tennessee Williams is undoubtedly an extremely talented playwright.

His works often deviate from strict realism, which I find truly captivating.

He has a remarkable ability to craft rich and detailed characters, each with a flawless backstory.

However, most of these plays seem to have an interesting premise but ultimately fall short.

They end up being about events that occurred offstage, and we never get to witness the true consequences of those actions.

Nonetheless, my favorite among his plays is Orpheus Descending.

This play stands out for its unique storyline and complex characters.

The way Williams weaves together the themes of love, desire, and fate is truly masterful.

Despite its flaws, Orpheus Descending remains a powerful and engaging work of art.

It showcases Williams' talent as a playwright and his ability to create memorable and impactful plays.

Overall, Tennessee Williams' plays are a must-read for anyone interested in the art of theater.

His works offer a unique perspective on the human condition and continue to resonate with audiences today.

The original article seems to be rather short or perhaps just a single word "Excellent." Here is an expanded version:

Excellent is a word that holds great significance. It represents the highest level of quality, performance, or achievement. When something is described as excellent, it implies that it surpasses expectations and stands out from the rest. It could refer to an excellent piece of work, an excellent service, or an excellent individual. An excellent person is one who demonstrates outstanding skills, dedication, and a passion for what they do. They strive for perfection and are constantly looking for ways to improve. Excellence is not something that comes easily; it requires hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence. It is a goal that we should all strive for in our personal and professional lives.

Summer and Smoke was truly my absolute favorite among these four Tennessee Williams plays. However, each of them possesses its own unique charm.

Interestingly, all four of these remarkable plays have been adapted into films. I firmly believe that Williams' works translate extremely well to the big screen.

In particular, I have an intense desire to watch Suddenly Last Summer. Just imagine the combination of Katherine Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, and Montgomery Clift! That's enough to make me eager to sign up and watch it without hesitation.

The allure of these plays and their film adaptations is simply captivating, and I can't wait to explore them further.

With Williams, it's always a matter of flesh and spirit, body and soul, engaged in an exquisite conflict.

This persistent theme runs through this collection like a vein, yielding varying results.

In my opinion, Suddenly Last Summer is easily the best of the lot.

(Though I must give a mention to Summer and Smoke, which I preferred in its revised form as On the Eccentricities of a Nightingale.)

There really is no such thing as an unreadable Tennessee Williams play (well, perhaps with the exception of The Rose Tattoo).

Even the lesser-known works in this collection are worth reading to observe how he delicately flirts with themes that are more fully explored in other places.

Williams' ability to explore the complex interplay between the physical and the spiritual is truly remarkable, and each play offers a unique perspective on this age-old conflict.

Whether it's the intense passion and psychological turmoil in Suddenly Last Summer or the subtler nuances of love and longing in Summer and Smoke, Williams' works continue to captivate and engage audiences.

By reading through this collection, one can gain a deeper understanding of his artistic vision and the evolution of his themes over time.

Summer & Smoke and Orpheus Descending were likely my two most favored plays within this collection.

I held no great affection for Suddenly Last Summer. Nevertheless, I derived enjoyment from the overall collection.

It is always possible for me to vividly envision the scenes that unfold within the plays. The characters and their emotions come to life in my mind's eye, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the stories.

The unique atmospheres and themes of each play add to the richness of the collection. Whether it's the sultry summer heat in Summer & Smoke or the tragic journey in Orpheus Descending, these plays have left a lasting impression on me.

Despite not being as taken with Suddenly Last Summer, I still appreciate the diversity and talent on display in this collection of plays.

Summer & Smoke, Orpheus Descending, Suddenly Last Summer, and Period of Adjustment are all remarkable plays that I truly enjoyed.

Each of these works offers a unique and captivating exploration of human nature, relationships, and the human condition.

Summer & Smoke delves into the complex and often unspoken desires and longings that exist within individuals.

Orpheus Descending tells a powerful story of love, passion, and the struggle for freedom.

Suddenly Last Summer explores themes of madness, trauma, and the search for truth.

And Period of Adjustment offers a humorous and poignant look at the challenges and joys of marriage and family life.

These plays are not only entertaining but also thought-provoking, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

I have an unwavering love for Tennessee Williams, and as a result, it comes as no surprise that I adored this book.

Out of all the plays within this volume, the only one that I hadn't yet witnessed was SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER.

Even though I had already seen some of the plays, whether it was on stage (such as SUMMER AND SMOKE and A PERIOD OF ADJUSTMENT) or in film (like ORPHEUS DESCENDING), I still found great joy in reading them.

Unfortunately, I don't possess the time or the necessary qualifications to conduct a comprehensive critique of Tennessee Williams' plays. Therefore, I'll simply state this: they were excellent and truly worth reading.

Their themes, characters, and dialogues are so rich and engaging that they draw the reader in and keep them captivated from start to finish.

Each play offers a unique perspective on human nature, relationships, and the struggles that we all face in life.

Tennessee Williams was a masterful playwright, and his works continue to resonate with audiences today.
