This is an enjoyable and quick read.

I picked it up simply out of curiosity.

As it turns out, it was more or less what I had expected.

It doesn't offer extremely detailed information or have a truly compelling narrative.

However, it is still mildly interesting and fun.

The story flows smoothly, and the characters are engaging enough to keep you reading.

Although it may not be a literary masterpiece, it serves its purpose as a light and entertaining read.

Overall, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick and easy way to pass the time.

It's not going to change your life, but it will provide a few hours of pleasant entertainment.

So, if you're in the mood for something轻松愉快, give this book a try.

You might just be surprised at how much you enjoy it.

I heard of this book a couple of years ago and was immediately interested in reading it.

Then, the unexpected arrival of COVID-19 set me on a new path. As my classes gradually "return to the new normal" and we renewed our unit on the Holocaust, this book came back to my mind.

Consequently, I decided to purchase a copy for my classroom library.

I truly loved it, especially the captivating photographs and illustrations.

As a child, my interests differed from those of my younger brother. I didn't have much affection for Curious George; instead, I was fond of Amelia Bedelia.

My younger brother, on the other hand, adored Curious George. So, I read Curious George stories to him until he was old enough to read those stories independently.

I understand that the author did her best, but I still would have relished knowing more about Margret and H. A. Rey and their travels. Their story is truly fascinating and I believe it would have added even more depth to my understanding of the book.

Overall, this book has been a wonderful addition to my classroom library and has sparked many interesting discussions among my students.

This book, which is written in a way that's easy for younger readers to understand, is really interesting.

It tells us about the facts of WWII and how many people had to panic and escape from France.

Among those who left were Hans and Margret Rey. They were the creators and illustrators of Curious George and other great tales for kids.

We all know Curious George for his exciting adventures. But now, I've learned about some of the really scary adventures that his creators had to go through.

It makes me think about how brave they were and how much they had to overcome to bring us the wonderful stories we love.

I'm glad this book tells us about both the historical events and the personal experiences of these amazing people.

It helps us to understand the world better and to appreciate the hard work and creativity of the people who came before us.

Maybe one day, I'll be able to create something just as great and share it with the world.

This book was truly an absolute delight to discuss with the students.

Basically, I began by captivating their attention with Curious George. I asked them excitedly, "DOES ANYONE RECOGNIZE THIS MONKEY? CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY THIS MONKEY? DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO THIS MONKEY IS?" Then, I cracked a rather corny joke, "Is this a real monkey? No, silly! This is a DRAWING of a monkey!" After that, I proceeded to tell the story on pages 44 - 45. Depending on the ages of the kids, whether they were in 3rd grade or 6th grade, I would provide more or less context regarding WWII.

It really is an astonishing story. In fact, they are even making a documentary about it, which is quite remarkable.

I was initially a bit put off by the almost-poetry-like layout of the text on the page. However, as I delved into the story, I found it so incredibly engaging that it completely ceased to bother me. I absolutely adored the inclusion of numerous primary sources. It is truly very surprising how well the primary sources, the original illustrations, and the Rey illustrations blend together seamlessly. And I don't recall it being made clear who was responsible for the layout here. Was it the illustrator, or perhaps some other unnamed graphic designer? If it was a third party, they most definitely deserve serious praise and kudos.

Killer killer killer yes.

This would be an excellent book to peruse in conjunction with the study of WWII.

The Rey's experience of attempting to flee Paris prior to the Nazis' invasion is representative of the tales of millions. Their success in surmounting all the necessary obstacles and the fact that they manage to escape, accompanied by illustrations and a story about a little monkey that is now widely recognized everywhere, enhance the narrative.

The illustrations, along with scans of Rey's diary entries, papers, and passports, are captivating to behold as one reads. It provides a vivid and immersive experience, allowing the reader to step into the shoes of those who lived through that tumultuous time.

Moreover, it offers a unique perspective on the war, not just through the eyes of soldiers and politicians, but also through the experiences of ordinary people like the Rey family. This makes the book not only educational but also highly engaging and relatable.

Overall, it is a must-read for anyone interested in WWII or in learning about the human experience during times of war.
