I want to say that this is my favourite among the now three Pinter plays that I have read. The reason is quite simple - I actually understood what was happening within the story. The dialogue in this play was truly fascinating and rather bizarre. It had such a captivating quality that I just couldn't bring myself to stop reading.

Even though I was able to understand all the words and the sequence of events, I still didn't really feel like I 'got' the deeper meaning or essence of the play. However, perhaps there wasn't really anything profound to be understood in the first place. Maybe the beauty of Pinter's work lies in its ambiguity and the way it makes the reader think and question.

After reading this play, I think I am done with Pinter for the time being. I need some time to process and reflect on what I have read before delving into another one of his works. But I will definitely keep this play in mind as it has left a lasting impression on me.
