It has been a really long time since I last read this book. However, I still vividly remember how much I enjoyed it.

The character of the whipping boy is truly pitiful, and it's almost impossible not to feel sympathy for him. When he and the prince find themselves in a difficult situation and the prince finally learns some much-needed lessons, it gives a sense of gratification.

This is definitely a book that I would highly recommend to kids in elementary or middle school. It offers valuable lessons in a fun and engaging way.

Even though adults might find it a quicker read, I am certain that they could also enjoy this charming story. It has a certain appeal that transcends age.

Overall, I would rate this book 4.25 out of 5 stars. It's a great addition to any bookshelf and a wonderful read for people of all ages.

I'm truly a little baffled as to precisely how and why the committee determined that this was "distinguished" enough to merit taking home the medal.

Undoubtedly, it has good moral values. It also has a great deal of appeal to kids, which is something that Newberies typically lack in abundance. Moreover, it is highly entertaining.

However, the Newbery? This is such an incredibly short book that I'm astonished it even managed to make it onto the discussion table in the first place.

But on the positive side, it is a nice little read. It's one of those books that you can give to a young child with confidence, knowing that you've just provided them with a good early-reader book that has substance. It may not be the most profound or complex work, but it has its charm and can serve as a valuable introduction to the world of reading for young minds.

Perhaps the committee saw something special in it that others might have overlooked. Or maybe they were looking for something different and refreshing to add to the list of Newbery winners. In any case, while I may have my doubts, I can't deny that this book has its merits and can bring joy and learning to young readers.

This story is really dumb.

It lacks any sort of interesting elements.

From the very beginning, it fails to capture the reader's attention.

The plot is extremely dull and predictable.

There are no exciting twists or turns to keep the reader engaged.

The characters are also rather unappealing.

They lack depth and personality, making it difficult for the reader to care about them.

The writing style is平淡无奇 as well, without any creativity or flair.

Overall, this story is not in the least bit interesting and is a complete waste of time to read.

It fails to meet even the most basic standards of good storytelling.

One can only hope that the author will learn from this experience and produce something more engaging and worthwhile in the future.

I vividly remember listening to this book on tape during my childhood days and laughing out loud uncontrollably.

As an adult, I would assert that this book still maintains its status as a great kids' adventure-humor piece. However, in my personal opinion, it might not be profound enough to deserve a Newbery Medal.

I truly wonder if there has ever been a character as unlikable as Prince Brat. Nevertheless, he does manage to grow in an admirable manner, albeit perhaps not in a completely realistic way.

Jemmy, on the other hand, also experiences growth, and in a more believable fashion.

All in all, this book offers a fun and light-hearted romp, even if it may not be the highest-quality Newbery-awarded work.

It has its charm and appeal, especially for young readers who are in search of an entertaining adventure with a touch of humor.

Although it may not reach the pinnacle of literary excellence, it still manages to bring joy and laughter to its audience.
