Incredible is the capacity of Oates to penetrate into a mind and tell the story without losing a jot of the quality that characterizes her.

She has a remarkable ability to get inside the thoughts and emotions of her characters, making them come alive on the page.

Her writing is so细腻 that it allows the reader to experience the story as if they were right there with the characters.

Oates' work is known for its psychological depth and complexity, and this is evident in her latest novel.

The link provided, http://entremontonesdelibros.blogspot..., offers more insights into her work and the world she creates.

It's a must-read for anyone interested in exploring the mind of one of the greatest contemporary writers.

Whether you're a fan of Oates or new to her work, you're sure to be captivated by her unique storytelling style.

The story is not a thriller with dead people. It is the thoughts of a serial killer who wants to create a sexual slave - zombie by lobotomizing him. That's in a nutshell.

I wasn't shocked. I could live without it. If you like splatter, that's fine, but that's as far as it goes.

This kind of content is rather disturbing and dark. It delves into the mind of a deranged individual with extremely immoral and unethical intentions. The idea of creating a sexual slave through lobotomy is not only cruel but also violates basic human rights and dignity.

While some may be intrigued by such extreme and macabre themes in fictional works, it's important to remember that these are just fictional concepts and should not be glorified or normalized in real life. We should strive to promote positive and healthy values and respect for the rights and well-being of others.

Going beyond the psyche of "the monster," Joyce Carol Oates ventures deep into the mind of a murderer, thereby making him human once more. He is a completely disturbed and unpleasant human, yet undeniably vulnerable and sentient. Quentin P. is like any one of us in that sense, at least. "Zombie" is a diary of sorts. The owner/writer, Quentin P., often refers to himself by initials alone and others by initials or cutesy nicknames. Those unaware of the entries know him as an agreeable guy or the caretaker of the unofficial collegiate rooming house inhabited by foreign students. Fewer still recognize him as a "recovering" alcoholic or as the one who molested a teenage boy. None but Q_ P_ himself and, briefly, his victims knew anything else. In short, Q_ P_ desires his own sexual "zombie" and goes about his daily life while diligently researching the methodology of creating such an entity. A mindless drone to worship him and grant his every request, all without seeing him through their dull, unthinking eyes. Clearly based on the crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer, this anti-heroic tale presents the sickeningly obsessive impulses of the modern serial killer from the absolute inside. To call it "unsettling" is an understatement. Ms. Oates not only basely illustrates the text in several places but also selects the most appropriate typeface to "reprint" the diary. "Zombie" is a non-stop flight into horror with a madman as the pilot and you, the reader, as the unwitting co-pilot.
