The book vividly describes 24 hours in the life of an airline at a British airport.

The manager of a British airline takes the reader on an exciting journey, introducing them to a world that is known only to airport employees.

The book is written in a style that allows it to be read in one breath and with ease. It provides a detailed account of the lives of employees at the airport, both on the ground and on the plane, as well as the interesting stories of passengers.

Throughout the book, you can discover many funny moments and unexpected twists that will keep you entertained from start to finish. Overall, this is a great read that I would rate 4 stars.

It offers a unique perspective on the inner workings of an airport and the people who make it all happen.

Derivative and near pointless.

It seems to lack the power and impact that its older sibling once had.

This new offering feels like a pale imitation, lacking the originality and excitement that made the original so captivating.

It fails to bring anything new or interesting to the table, instead relying on tired old tropes and clichés.

The story line is predictable, the characters are one-dimensional, and the dialogue is平淡无奇.

Overall, it's a disappointment and not worth the time or effort.

Perhaps if they had put more thought and creativity into it, it could have been something special.

But as it stands, it's just another forgettable addition to the genre.

Funnily enough,

I purchased this item at the duty-free shop in Heathrow Airport.

This book consists of a loose compilation of anecdotes regarding the mischievous activities within the airline industry.

These anecdotes are presented in the form of a day in the working life of an airport duty manager.

It has a very British flavor, is rather shallow, and is occasionally extremely funny - especially if you have taken a few flights.

It's like brain candy.

This is likely to be a great read during a long-haul flight when you've had a bit too much alcohol.

You can relax and enjoy the light-hearted stories, passing the time pleasantly as you soar through the skies.

It offers a bit of entertainment and a break from the monotony of a long flight.

Whether you're a frequent flyer or just someone looking for a轻松的 read, this book might just hit the spot.

Look into the backside of the Airline industry.

It is important to note that this is a compilation of multiple events across various service providers.

While I don't doubt that a significant portion of it is true, there may be a slight inflation of the stories for literary appeal.

However, it still makes for a fun read nonetheless.

The airline industry is a complex and multifaceted one, with many behind-the-scenes operations and interactions that the average passenger may not be aware of.

By delving into the backside of this industry, we can gain a better understanding of the challenges and issues that airlines face on a daily basis.

From dealing with flight delays and cancellations to ensuring passenger safety and comfort, there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make air travel possible.

So, the next time you board a flight, take a moment to think about what might be happening behind the scenes in the airline industry.

Whether you're looking for a quick escape during a break or a light read before bed, this book is the perfect choice.

It's a charming little gem that will leave you with a smile on your face and a sense of satisfaction.

This was a truly random selection from the bookstore. The title immediately caught my attention, given that I am a traveller myself.

It is part of the Babylon series by the author and offers an inside look at what occurs in the travel industry. The book claims to be based on true incidents from London Heathrow Airport, as narrated by the airport duty manager.

I found it extremely light and easy to read, with a touch of humor and naughtiness. Obviously, there are things that happen between the crew, and the way they are described in the book is simply hilarious! Additionally, the priceless tips that you receive as a traveller are really cool.

If you have a passion for flying, traveling, and getting on a plane, this book is highly recommended. It provides an entertaining and informative read that will surely keep you engaged from start to finish.

I am truly not certain at all as to why I bothered to read this. Right from within the first few pages, I just knew deep down that it was going to be rubbish. But, you know, I'm not one to give up easily. So, I kept on going with the glimmer of hope that perhaps it might improve or even turn out to be funny!

After all, it must have found its way onto my wish list of titles because I had read 'Hotel Babylon' and 'Tuscany for Beginners', both of which I found to be really funny and enjoyable. In theory, this book seemed like a good idea. It was only attempting to do what had previously been a success for the hotel industry, which even became a TV programme, but for the airline industry, it was a disappointing failure.

I'm far from being a prude, but the antics that some of the airline crews get up to really left me feeling rather disgusted! I'm quite sure that some of the material used in the writing of this book would also make the majority of men and women who currently work for the airline industry feel somewhat embarrassed. At times, it almost seemed as if the anonymous people in this collection of supposedly true stories were proud of themselves. I just can't fathom why.

Maybe it's yet another case of me picking the wrong book at the wrong time. After all, I'm due to fly myself in just 48 hours, and perhaps I would have been better off not knowing about some of the horror stories that go on behind the scenes of the ultimate travel service industry.

I would not recommend this to anyone, unless maybe you are thinking of entering the industry yourself. It will definitely help you decide one way or the other, depending on whether you are game for a lifestyle of debauchery or not.

Of course, I may well have taken the book far too seriously, and perhaps it is really written tongue in cheek!

If this is not an overly exaggerated account of life in the skies, then traveller beware.

My reviews for the other two titles can be found here.

I found this book to be absolutely hilarious.

The way it is written is truly interesting. It contains all the essential elements of fiction: engaging main characters and a captivating plot. However, what makes it even more remarkable is that all of the incidents and characters are supposedly based on real life, although perhaps a bit condensed into a mere 24 hours.

This book had a profound impact on me. It made me realize the importance of being nice to every person working in an airport. If they can really be that nasty, as described in the book, then I definitely don't want to cross paths with them. Additionally, it also tempted me to become terrified of flying. But then I thought, well, it's out of my control anyway, so there's no point in freaking myself out.

If you have a curiosity about what truly goes on in the cockpit and behind the scenes at airports, then this book is a must-read. However, don't bother picking it up if you don't have a sense of humour and if you think that air stewards are just braindead waiters in the sky who don't deserve any respect. This book will surely change your perspective.

This was an extremely fascinating expose of life in the sky. It presented a plethora of interesting stuff that occurs behind the scenes when one embarks on a flight.

Back Cover Blurb: Do you truly know the best place to have sex on a plane? Is it a well-known fact that one drink in the air is equivalent to three on the ground? Do you have any idea who is responsible for checking you in or who might be checking you out? What exactly happens to your luggage once it disappears from your sight? Is it truly secure? Are you really safe? Do you possess any in-depth knowledge about the industry to which you entrust your life several times a year?

Air Babylon takes you on a journey through the highs, the lows, and the rapid descents of air travel. It meticulously catalogues the births, the deaths, the drunken brawls, the sexual antics, and the debauchery that take place behind the scenes of the ultimate service industry - where the world is clearly divided into those who don the uniform and those who don't.....

This is an extremely fast and effortless read that delves into what occurs behind the scenes at airports and during flights.

I had never once considered what takes place when someone passes away on board. However, now I am enlightened!

It offers a fascinating glimpse into the inner workings and procedures that are in place for such unexpected and somber situations.

If you happen to come across this piece, do read it for amusement, particularly if you are a frequent traveler.

It can provide you with some interesting insights and knowledge that you may not have otherwise known.

You might be surprised by the details and the way in which airlines handle these kinds of scenarios.

So, give it a read and enjoy the journey of discovery!

This book is a rather unique blend.

On one hand, it contains non-fiction factoids about airports, providing readers with some interesting and useful information.

On the other hand, it is filled with outrageous anecdotes of the most interesting things that have ever happened to airline employees, which can be quite entertaining.

And then there is the licentious mile-high club gossip, which adds a rather salacious element to the mix.

All of these elements are tied together with a weak narrative of a (particularly busy) day in the life of an airline manager.

Personally, I would have preferred it to have more factoids and less of the orgiastic content. However, I guess that the sex aspect is what sells the book.

Despite this, there were still some good and interesting bits along the way. Overall, I would rate this book a 2.5 out of 5.
