The first part regarding being an airline employee while on the job was truly interesting. It provided valuable insights into the daily life and responsibilities of those working in the aviation industry.

However, the second part, which described airline employees going on a trip to the Middle East for a crew party, seemed rather silly. It gave the impression that the focus was more on having fun and socializing rather than on the professional aspects of their work.

Perhaps there could have been a better way to present this information, such as highlighting any cultural experiences or learning opportunities that the employees may have had during their trip. Overall, while the first part was engaging, the second part detracted from the overall tone and message of the article.

It would be beneficial to reevaluate and potentially rewrite this section to better align with the intended purpose of the piece.

I read 'Air Babylon' during a recent trip to NY. Throughout the journey, I endured a number of BA cabin crew telling me it was all pure fiction. However, I found it to be a very interesting concept. It reveals the trade secrets of a chosen industry, which is not an easy feat to pull off. My only criticism is that towards the end of the book, the 'do you remember the time that...' anecdotes come a bit too thick and fast. They do not flow into the day's diary of events as smoothly as the earlier chapters set in the Airport. Nevertheless, there is some real food for thought here. Speaking of which, you may never eat an airline meal again after reading this. In summary, 'Air Babylon' will really make you think about every aspect of the flying experience the next time you pass through a UK Airport. This may not be a good thing for the more nervous flyers out there.

Funny, isn't it? In this aspect of our daily lives, where life can take on an extraordinary turn. The way people behave and react in a particular environment, when the conditions and timing combine to form a perfect storm of disaster just waiting to unfold... Hahahahh...

It's steamy, almost as if I'm looking at myself in the mirror... Hehe.. This situation has a certain intensity that makes it both exciting and a little nerve-wracking. You never quite know what's going to happen next. Will people rise to the occasion or will they crumble under the pressure? It's all part of the unpredictable nature of life.

But that's what makes it so interesting. We're constantly faced with new challenges and opportunities to see how we and those around us will respond. And in the end, it's these experiences that shape us and make us who we are. So, bring on the chaos and let's see what happens! Hahhaha...

Can't travel but can surely read about it, right?

Well, I read Imogene Edward Jones’ Hotel Babylon a while back and absolutely loved it. It was so engaging with its gossipy take on running a hotel.

Now, there's Air Babylon which does the same thing, but this time it's all about airlines. Apparently, it's based on real events but presented in a fictional form. The events in the book unfold over a 24-hour period.

From the very start, the book is a laugh riot. It might even give you some insights into what airlines and their staff really think of their passengers. It's a great choice for a beach read, but I found myself enjoying it just as much while being stuck at home.

As for what's next for me, it's Restaurant Babylon. I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of stories and secrets it will reveal about the world of restaurants.

I'm sure it'll be just as entertaining as the previous two books in the Babylon series.

Actually, I was really impressed. To be honest, I was a bit dubious at the beginning. However, as I read on, it really was laugh out loud funny in several places. Although it's quite evident that all of this couldn't possibly happen within just 24 hours or surely not to one single person, yet it does manage to provide a behind the scenes look at the airline industry information. It presents the details in a way that makes it a fun read. It's like opening a door to a world that most people don't get to see. The author has done a great job of making what could be a dry subject matter into an entertaining and engaging story. It keeps you hooked from start to finish and makes you want to know more about the inner workings of the airline industry.

I really relished this book. It provided a fascinating perspective that has indeed made me a bit more jittery when I contemplate my next flight.

Before reading it, I had no idea what might be happening behind the scenes during a flight. Now, armed with this new knowledge, it's hard not to feel a certain degree of unease.

However, despite this added nervousness, I have to admit that the book was highly entertaining. It was filled with interesting anecdotes and facts that kept me engaged from start to finish.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in aviation or just enjoys a good read that offers a unique insight into a particular subject.

Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm glad I took the time to read it.

This is an extremely funny book.

From the moment I picked it up, I was completely engrossed and couldn't put it down.

The author's unique writing style and hilarious storytelling had me laughing out loud on almost every page.

The characters were vividly described, and their antics and misadventures kept me entertained from start to finish.

It was like embarking on a comical journey that I didn't want to end.

Whether you're looking for a lighthearted read to brighten your day or a book to share with friends and family, this one is definitely a must-read.

I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good laugh and a great story.

You won't be disappointed!

I'm never quite certain about how to evaluate these fictionalised non-fiction books.

On one hand, the individual incidents that are presented within the pages are often interesting enough to capture one's attention. They have the potential to draw the reader in and make them curious about what will happen next.

However, on the other hand, the characters in these books can be rather annoying. Their actions and personalities might not resonate with the reader, making it difficult to fully engage with the story.

Overall, based on my experience with this particular book, I would not read it again. The combination of interesting incidents and annoying characters has left me with a somewhat mixed impression. I'm not sure if this is a common trait among fictionalised non-fiction books, or if it's just specific to this one. But either way, it has made me more cautious when it comes to choosing which ones to read in the future.

I just thought this was extremely embarrassing.

Hope that no one would think this is based on facts and real interviews.

If it were, the aviation authorities would surely have a field day with the significant amount of intoxicants involved.

It's okay to write silly fiction, but please don't pretend it's something other than just that - fiction.

I really hate it when writers attempt to sell their stories in this manner.

It gives a false impression and can mislead the readers.

Readers deserve to know that what they are reading is a work of imagination and not presented as something real.

Authors should be honest about the nature of their writing and not try to pass off fiction as something more.

This way, the readers can enjoy the story for what it is and not be disappointed or misled.

I purchased this book at a bargain price on Amazon. I first became acquainted with the author through "Hotel Babylon", a BBC series that I indulged in with a sense of guilty pleasure. The series is about the goings-on in a luxury London hotel and is based on her book of the same name. The author has built a career around writing books that explore the inner workings of specific industries. In this particular book, she delves into what it's like to work for an airline, supposedly based on real interviews with anonymous airline staffers.

It makes for a fun beach read if you happen to come across it. There are several parts that will make you laugh out loud. My favorite is the story of a clueless and spoiled mother on an airplane. She hands her baby to a flight attendant and says, "she needs changing". The flight attendant walks down the aisle and returns with a black baby, asking the mother if the baby is changed enough for her. Who doesn't love little stories of comeuppance like that? Airline staff have to deal with people at their absolute worst, so as you can imagine, this book is filled with similar tales that offer a humorous and sometimes eye-opening look into the world of airline operations.

Overall, it's an entertaining read that provides a unique perspective on an industry that many of us interact with on a regular basis.

An entertaining read for a plane nerd.

Everything that can occur on a plane and at airports is seamlessly woven into a 24-hour journey, depicting a day in the life of a ground airport staff.

This would have received 4 stars. However, the comments regarding assistance and wheelchairs were rather impolite. So, one star was deducted for that.

Hey, Fictional Male Airport Groundperson, don't you realize that anyone who requests any form of disability assistance simply gets the darn wheelchair?

Traveling with a guide dog? Wheelchair. Deaf? Wheelchair. An elderly person who doesn't know English and has difficulty navigating through airports alone? Wheelchair.

That's being rather lenient because I'm more inclined to remove two stars due to the attitudinal problem and rudeness towards passengers with any disability.

It's important to be more understanding and respectful towards those with disabilities and their specific needs when providing airport assistance.

Maybe the author should consider reevaluating and improving the tone and content related to this aspect in future works.

Overall, despite this drawback, the story still has its entertaining elements for plane enthusiasts.

But the insensitivity towards disabled passengers cannot be overlooked or ignored.
