As the translator's note has come, this article is the final chapter of the book "A Thousand Solitudes" by the same author.

Therefore, the reader must regard the book as an article and read it.

An excellent book,

full of wisdom and strength.

It is written in a style that is as soft as poetry and as profound as the best philosophy.

From the history of the conquest of Mexico,

which vividly描绘s the complex events and their impacts,

to the spirituality of celebrations,

uncovering the deep-seated meanings and emotions behind them,

and then to the sociology of curse words,

analyzing how they function in different social contexts.

Almost every page teaches something new and brilliant.

It offers unique insights and perspectives that can expand our understanding of the world.

I highly recommend The Labyrinth of Solitude to everyone who has an interest in philosophy or social science.

This book changed my perspective like few others that I have read.

It made me think deeply about various aspects of life and society,

and inspired me to look at things from different angles.

It is truly a remarkable and thought-provoking work.

For this reason, our sense of loneliness has a twofold importance and meaning: on the one hand, it is an awareness of oneself, and on the other hand, it is a desire to escape from oneself. Loneliness - this inevitable state of our lives - in our view is a kind of test and purification, at the end of which our pain and instability are eliminated. When we emerge from thousands of loneliness, finally, we reach a state of perfection and harmony with the world.

Loneliness is not something to be feared or avoided. It is a natural part of the human experience that can lead to self-discovery and growth. It allows us to reflect on our lives, our values, and our relationships.

During periods of loneliness, we have the opportunity to focus on our own needs and desires. We can explore our interests, develop new skills, and pursue our dreams. It is a time to be independent and self-reliant, to learn to rely on ourselves rather than on others.

In conclusion, while loneliness may seem uncomfortable at times, it is an essential part of our journey towards self-fulfillment and connection with the world around us. We should embrace it, learn from it, and use it as a tool for personal growth and development.

Several years ago when I read it, I really liked it a lot and shared many of its sentences on Instagram. Later when I went back to look at them, I was in a confused state at that time. It wasn't even that bad. I disagreed with a lot of what it said, especially regarding love. It was written a bit negatively. But it's still worth reading. I still give it as a gift to different people.

Expanded:

Several years ago, when I first came across this piece of writing, I was immediately captivated by it. I had such a strong affinity for it that I couldn't help but share numerous sentences from it on Instagram. At that time, I was completely immersed in its words and thought it was truly wonderful. However, as time passed and I revisited those shared sentences, I found myself in a rather confused state. Upon closer inspection, I realized that perhaps it wasn't as perfect as I had initially thought. In fact, I disagreed with a significant portion of what it had to say, particularly when it came to the topic of love. The way it was written seemed a bit on the negative side, which was quite different from my own perspective. Nevertheless, despite these differences, I still believe that it has some value and is worth reading. In fact, I continue to give it as a gift to various people, hoping that they might also find something meaningful within its pages.

This reality that someone who is born into a group does not necessarily have a sense of belonging to that group anymore: one must earn the right to belong.

Belonging is not something that is automatically granted just because of one's birth. It is something that needs to be actively pursued and achieved.

People may find themselves in a group, but if they do not feel a true connection or a sense of acceptance, they may not truly belong.

To earn the right to belong, one may need to prove oneself, show commitment, and contribute to the group in a meaningful way.

It could involve building relationships, sharing common values, and working towards a common goal.

Only then can one truly feel a sense of belonging and the security and fulfillment that comes with it.

Dialectics of Solitude (Love)

- "To live means to separate from what we were in order to reach what we will be hidden in the future."

- "Man is the only being who knows he is alone and the only being who is in search of others. His nature - if one can use this word in relation to man who has made himself by saying 'no' to nature - has within it the desire and thirst for the fulfillment of himself in others. Man himself is the connection of the pain of exile and the passage of time."

- "Love is not a 'natural' thing. Love is a human thing, the most human fiber in the personality of man. It is something that we have created ourselves and does not exist in nature. It is something that we create and destroy every day."

- "As a result, in the protection that is given to marriage, love is pursued and vice is either ignored or given formal approval. Our two-step perception of vice is completely revealing. Some nations consider it a sacred institution, but among us vice is sometimes gluttonous and sometimes lustful. Vice itself is a caricature of love, a sacrifice of love, a symbol of all the powers that tear our world apart."

- "Adolescence is a period of separation from the world of childhood and a brief pause at the threshold of adulthood. It is more clearly noted that solitude is one of the prominent characteristics of adolescence. Narcissus, that alone man, is the exact image of adolescence. It is in this period that we first become aware of ourselves as individuals."

- "The literature of young nations - with the exception of Spain where young people are always orphans or widows - is full of young people; lonely people in search of connection: full of circles, swords and dreams. Adolescence is a provisional state that ends with the step into the real world."

These and many other thought-provoking events that are poetically expressed by Octavio Paz have made it more attractive than a simple philosophy. The above parts mainly belong to the first half of the book. The second half - which is an idealistic critique of the development of the human mind in the face of solitude - but requires a more careful reading. At the end, the author, who seems satisfied with the explanation of his dialectics, claims in the completion of his explanations that: "In Ortega's words: 'This is our inner time', this is the essence of our dreams and the meaning of our actions."

To be honest, it didn't appeal to me at all. It was extremely fragmented and disjointed. Just like it was mentioned in the preface of the book, this is not just a chapter of the book, but this one chapter, which is more than fifty pages long, considering that the book is short, it talked in a very disjointed, fragmented and negative way. When I finished it, I was confused. I looked at the fifth print and only thing that came to my mind was that it only sells because of its title -_- and I once again believed that a book that is recommended by many and given high ratings doesn't necessarily have to be good.

Aktaviy Paz, at first, was a poet, a poet whose words ultimately sparkle in the space of the soul. He understands the word and expresses poetry at its peak.....It amazes you. It takes you to the peak and to the abyss; poetry is a moment, and in that moment, you immerse yourself, and the poems of Aktaviy Paz are full of those "ones" that express death.....

The talismanic wings that cover the space

with its own wings

spreads

simple miracles that are called birds

everything was related to everyone

only one word was widespread in the middle

unity

a word remaining like the sun

and the particles turned into words of language

that we speak with.....

And yet, about this book, it was about loneliness and love.....And again, you understand from this sentence structure that a poet is talking to you.....The combination of sentences.....Perhaps because the poet breathes on paper in a different way.....Of course, the book was a bit of a summary..:

Love is a crime that two stars commit when they leave their orbit.....

When man was separated from this eternity and infinity, in which all times were one. He stepped into a time when he had a measure and a scale and became a prisoner of the clock and the calendar.

As soon as time was divided into yesterday, today, and tomorrow, man was no longer one with time.....

Thank you, Mr. Aktaviy Paz.

Paz delves deep into the realm of Mexican politics and culture, dissecting it with a fine-toothed comb.

There are indeed some captivating sections within this book. However, one cannot help but notice that he repeats the same ideas over and over again. He describes Mexico as a palimpsest, where Spanish Catholicism superimposes itself upon the Aztec religious theocracy.

On the other hand, there are also certain parts of the book that fail to hold my interest. For instance, the long-winded discussions about the history of Mexico's numerous revolutions and the critique of each regime seem rather tedious.

Moreover, Paz frequently presents certain things as generalized facts. While he may be attempting to描绘 an image of common Mexico, some of these seem rather impoverished. Take, for example, his discussion of Mexican women being pure passivity. I'm certain that this idea was not entirely true during his own time, yet he seems to view it as the historical-social ideal of the people. The syntax of these passages gives the impression that these are Paz's personal beliefs, which has left me feeling a bit irritated with his philosophies. This is especially the case when he later comes to the discussion of Mexico needing to be feminized.

Overall, while there are some interesting aspects to Paz's work, there are also several elements that leave much to be desired.

Diffusion and the migrations from one branch to another had disrupted the unity of the text, and it was not possible to reach a coherent and comprehensive conclusion on the subject under discussion... and the translation also didn't seem satisfactory...

This part was interesting to me:

"There has been a time when time, sequence, and passage did not exist. Rather, a constant and eternal source has been established in which all times, past and future, are present. When man was separated from this eternity and immutability in which all times were one, he stepped into a time that had flaws and a measure, and became a prisoner of the clock and the calendar.

Man is no longer in unity with time and can no longer be in harmony with the flow of reality...."
