During the 9th grade, we had book groups. A few of my classmates had been chosen to read this particular book. They told me that it was interesting. However, it really wasn't the kind of book that I was interested in, so I decided to skip it. But when I saw that it was a choice on my reading list, I thought I'd give it a try. To my great surprise, when I finished reading it, I actually liked it. What I liked most about the book was the way it was written. The author wrote in a way that made the characters' speech seem so real. It was as if they were actual people standing right in front of me. Overall, it was a pretty good book. I'm glad I decided to give it a chance after all. It just goes to show that sometimes we should be open to new things and not judge a book by its cover.
