Lewis pulls no punches in this hard hitting critique of the modern Christian life.

He doesn't hold back any of his thoughts and opinions, but instead presents a raw and honest assessment of the state of Christianity today.

This critique is not only eye-opening but also thought-provoking. It challenges believers to examine their own lives and beliefs, and to consider whether they are truly living out the teachings of Christ.

Every believer can learn so much from reading this. It provides valuable insights and perspectives that can help us to grow in our faith and to become more effective witnesses for Christ.

Highly recommend! This is a must-read for anyone who is serious about their Christian walk and wants to make a positive impact in the world.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the modern Christian life and to be inspired to make a difference.

Pretty sure three-fourths of the book went over my head. However, I don't expect to read this book just once and then never again.

I will definitely come back in a year and immerse myself in it once more, hoping to extract some more valuable information from this remarkable book.

This is a very good and thought-provoking read. It has the power to make you question the daily practices in your own life.

It makes you stop and think about the things you do routinely and whether they are really the best for you or if there are better alternatives.

The book challenges your perspective and encourages you to look at life from a different angle.

It's not an easy read, but it's well worth the effort. I'm excited to see what new insights I'll gain when I revisit it in the future.

C. S. Lewis' creative way of analyzing teleology, his contemporary era, and at the same time providing spiritual guidance is truly impressive. The fact that he was able to perceive trends as early as the 1940s that are now highly prevalent is fascinating. What is particularly interesting is that the book is written from the perspective of a devil. That is, what it experiences as good/bad should be interpreted contrary to what is written. It made me think much more than usual when I read it.

Here, there are many life lessons and profound quotes to discover. This book could be regarded as a kind of devotional book for those who want something different. It is difficult to accurately rate it on a scale of 1-5. In any case, it is well worth reading.

I read it in Swedish.

Imagine being so incensed by your nephew's blunder that you transform into a colossal centipede. Yet, being so overly meticulous that you refuse to let this setback disrupt your mentorship, and instead dictate the remainder of your letter to your secretary. Honestly, it's quite the same situation.

Rife with the contradictions, hypocrisy, and caustic wisdom one would anticipate from the lips of a high-ranking devil, TSL (The Screwtape Letters) drily elucidates the qualities of sin and virtue, the enigma that is "God" and His plans for His cherished "hybrids" (us), and how one concocts wine from the souls of Pharisees.

It is widely known that C S Lewis was a devout Christian. However, one should not approach this book with the expectation that Screwtape is a strawman. He is gloomy, painstaking, and as sharp as a blade. Nevertheless, as was noted in the preface, he is a liar, and even he doesn't believe everything he utters all the time, although he would persuade you otherwise. The most effective propaganda can even deceive the spokesmen themselves.

Your affectionate uncle,
