Finally, I finished this after approximately 4 months. But it's not because I didn't like it. Instead, it's because I interspersed it with another book. It's very rare for me to say something negative about Reverte's work, and this is no exception. Another very good collection of his column in the magazine El Semanal between the years 2001 and 2005, strongly influenced by the events of September 11th and the supposed war of the US against terrorism. Highly recommended.
The author's writing style is engaging and captivating, making it easy for readers to get lost in the stories and ideas presented. The collection offers a unique perspective on the historical events and social issues of that time period. It provides valuable insights and food for thought, allowing readers to reflect on the complex world we live in. Whether you're a fan of Reverte's work or simply interested in history and current affairs, this book is definitely worth a read.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an interesting and thought-provoking read. It's a great addition to any bookshelf and is sure to provide hours of entertainment and enlightenment.
I read those articles with the same eagerness that Mr. Perez Reverte gave to the keyboard when he wrote them. Since it is a compilation of short articles, I think it is a good book to alternate with another. It is critical, not shying away from "kicking" in the mother of many, and moreover, it does so with a writing style that I personally like.
The author's words seem to dance on the page, captivating my attention from the very first line. Each article presents a unique perspective, challenging my own thoughts and beliefs. I find myself constantly engaged, eager to turn the page and discover what lies ahead.
Whether it's a scathing critique or a thoughtful analysis, Perez Reverte's writing always manages to leave an impression. His ability to convey complex ideas in a concise and engaging manner is truly remarkable. This book has become a favorite of mine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thought-provoking read.
