It was truly difficult to engage with this particular installment. Kane and Brigid share a bond-like connection, yet both are reluctant to confront it directly. Instead, insults and cold shoulders seem to be their way of navigating through Savage Sun. There is an abundance of information presented within these pages. For the most part, it feels a bit overwhelming. While this information is necessary to some extent, it has been overdone, making it a bit of a struggle for the reader to fully absorb. I did experience a sense of sympathy for Domi and her people. However, this aspect of the story was quickly brushed aside, which was a bit disappointing. Hopefully, the next book in the series will have an uncluttered plot that effectively advances the overall story-arc. Now that we have a better understanding of the aliens and mutants, it would be great to see a more streamlined and engaging narrative. All in all, it's not a bad read, but there is definitely room for improvement.
