It was truly difficult to engage with this particular installment. Kane and Brigid share a bond-like connection, yet both are reluctant to confront it directly. Instead, insults and cold shoulders seem to be their way of navigating through Savage Sun.

There is an abundance of information presented within these pages. For the most part, it feels a bit overwhelming. While this information is necessary to some extent, it has been overdone, making it a bit of a struggle for the reader to fully absorb.

I did experience a sense of sympathy for Domi and her people. However, this aspect of the story was quickly brushed aside, which was a bit disappointing.

Hopefully, the next book in the series will have an uncluttered plot that effectively advances the overall story-arc. Now that we have a better understanding of the aliens and mutants, it would be great to see a more streamlined and engaging narrative.

All in all, it's not a bad read, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Kane and Baptist are separated during this book.

The characters in this tale really shine brightly. The concept of Kane and Brigid being anamchara, or soul friends, is truly fascinating. It adds a unique and deep layer to their relationship.

I am really looking forward to the next book in this series. The fact that Lakesh has been taken by Salvo and Pollard has left me on the edge of my seat, eager to find out what will happen next.

The story has me completely invested, and I can't wait to see how the plot unfolds and how the characters will continue to develop.

Overall, this is a thrilling and engaging action-adventure that has me eagerly anticipating the next installment.

An okay action book about life after the Nukecaust in 2001.

This time, Kane, Domi, Grant, and Brigid embark on a journey to Ireland. There, they encounter and have to deal with witches and mutants. Before returning home, they also take care of the baddy, Strongbow, in England.

Meanwhile, Lakesh is discovered and arrested by Sano. It seems like more of the same from this series. However, I do question why a highly trained operative like Kane keeps running out of ammo. It's a bit puzzling as one would expect a professional in his line of work to be better prepared in that regard. Perhaps there are underlying reasons or circumstances that are not fully explained in the story. Overall, while the book has its action-packed moments, this aspect of the plot does make one wonder.
