The original article is not provided, so I can't rewrite and expand it specifically. However, I can give you a general example of how to expand an article.

Let's assume the original article is: "The dog is running in the park."

Expanded version:

The energetic dog is joyfully running in the beautiful park. The park is filled with colorful flowers and lush green grass. The dog's tail is wagging excitedly as it dashes around, enjoying the freedom and fresh air. People are strolling in the park, smiling and chatting. Some are sitting on the benches, reading books or simply enjoying the scenery. The dog seems to be having a great time, and its presence adds to the lively atmosphere of the park.

Please provide the original article so that I can rewrite and expand it according to your requirements.

Fascinating. It is truly remarkable that John Grisham heard about this case after the convicted murder, Ron Williamson, had passed away precisely 20 years after the crime in 2002. Ron Williamson was a frequent drunk and a mentally unstable character who was well known around town. The cops latched onto him and another local man when they failed to make any progress in solving the brutal death of a young woman in Ada, Oklahoma.

It took a full 5 years, but the two were eventually convicted, despite the fact that only circumstantial evidence was presented at the trial. And all the while, Ron's mental capacity ebbed and flowed. The guards in the prison learned how to manipulate his thorazine doses to ensure he'd be more or less cooperative depending on whether he was going to court that day.

This provides an infuriating glimpse into how easily injustice can be served and how long an inmate can go without proper mental or physical attention, especially when they are on death row. It is a disturbing reminder of the flaws in our criminal justice system and the need for reform to ensure that such tragedies do not occur again.
