I had never read anything by Cecila Ahern before and decided to start with this one when I saw that this book was going to be made into a movie.

What a beautiful story!!!!!!! I loved it and I must admit that I suffered like a condemned person with the misunderstandings of Rosie and Alex. Seriously, these two couldn't be more out of sync!!!! The story is basically the life of Rosie and Alex from the age of 5 to 50 and my romantic heart hopes that they will continue like this for many more years. The way of narrating the story through letters, emails, messages, postcards, etc. seems very original to me and makes one get involved in the story by filling the spaces between the numerous letters.

Talking about the characters would take years because there are things to highlight about each of them. But it's funny to see how the story of Rosie and Alex has coincidences with the story of Katie and Toby. Ruby is the best friend that every woman should have and the best friend that one should be to their best friend.

I think the key word in this story with the moral that I want to keep is "FEAR": it is the central theme in the lives of Rosie and Alex; "fear of expressing my feelings and being rejected", "fear of missing an opportunity", "fear of disappointing others", "fear of change", "fear of being alone", "fear of taking risks". So when Katie decides to do what her mother didn't dare to do, it's something that gives value to Katie and Alex. Really, life is beautiful. It's never too late to take risks and not be afraid of new opportunities and fight for what one wants and find happiness at the end of the rainbow.

\\n  My dear Rosie,
Unbeknownst to you I took this chance before many, many years ago.
You never received that letter and I’m glad because my feelings since then have changed dramatically. They have intensified with every passing day.
I’ll get straight to the point because if I don’t say what I have to say now, I fear it will never be said. And I need to say it.
Today I love you more than ever; tomorrow I will love you even more. I need you more than ever; I want you more than ever. I’m a man of fifty years of age coming to you, feeling like a teenager in love, asking you to give me a chance and love me back.
Rosie Dunne I love you with all my heart, I have always loved you even when I was seven years old and lied about falling asleep on Santa watch, when I was ten years old and didn’t invite you to my birthday party, when I was eighteen and had to move away, even on my wedding days, on your wedding day, on christenings, birthdays, and when we fought. I loved you through it all. Make me the happiest man on this earth by being with me.
Please reply to me.
All my love,
Alex

Overall, this book is a wonderful exploration of love, friendship, and the power of taking risks. It makes you laugh, cry, and think about your own life. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good romance or a heartwarming story.

The original article might have been rather concise. However, by expanding it, we can provide more details and a more in-depth understanding. For example, if the original article was about a product, we could describe its features, benefits, and how it compares to similar products in the market. We could also add customer reviews and testimonials to give the reader a better idea of the product's quality and performance.

*2.75 stars* This rating indicates that the product or service being reviewed has received a somewhat average score. It might have some positive aspects, but also some areas that could be improved. The reviewer might have noted specific strengths and weaknesses, which we could expand on in the rewritten article. We could discuss how the product meets the needs of its target audience, and what could be done to make it even better.

In conclusion, expanding the article allows us to provide a more comprehensive and engaging read. By adding details, examples, and analysis, we can help the reader make a more informed decision about the subject matter. Whether it's a product review, a news article, or a blog post, taking the time to expand and rewrite can make a big difference in the quality and impact of the content.

I really liked the book a great deal, and the ending brought tears of happiness to my eyes. However, I deducted one star because for the most part of the time, I was extremely frustrated with the characters. It was way too much time, far too much!

The story had its moments of brilliance, and the overall plot was engaging. But the actions and decisions of the characters often left me feeling annoyed and dissatisfied. I understand that they were probably meant to be complex and flawed, but it just went on for so long that it started to affect my enjoyment of the book.

Despite this, the ending was truly beautiful and made up for some of the frustrations I had earlier. It was a bittersweet conclusion that left me with a sense of satisfaction. Overall, I would still recommend the book, but I would also warn readers that they might experience some moments of intense frustration along the way.

I absolutely adored "PS I Love You", and that's why I decided to give another book by Cecelia Ahern a try. The fact that the story of "Where Rainbows End" is written entirely as a correspondence, mainly between the two main characters, their family, and friends, didn't really bother me. After all, I had read "The Boy Next Door" by Meg Cabot, which was written in a similar style, and I still loved that story.

The essence of "Where Rainbows End" is this: Have you ever had someone, a boy or a girl, who you've been friends with for a long time, and although it seems that you both like each other more than just as friends, the circumstances are never quite right? You might be single while he's dating someone else, or vice versa. This story is about what happens when two best friends, Rosie and Alex, are separated, and the wrong set of circumstances keep tearing them apart, yet fate keeps bringing them back together.

This book constantly made me want to bang my head against a brick wall. Although I'm familiar with such situations, the fact that the story of this book takes place over several decades, with the same vicious cycle repeating itself over and over again (yes, like ten times!), was really quite painful to read. By the end of the book, I truly felt sorry for both Alex and Rosie for all the time that was lost and wasted.

While you might enjoy the development and drama of the main characters, as well as their friends and family, it might take you a while to get through this book because there's only so much repetitive and depressing stuff you can handle in a given period. I found myself repeatedly putting the book down and doing something else just to take a break from the same cycle of events.

The story wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. And although the ending finally gave me a sigh of relief, I don't think it will be enough to make me pick up this book again.

GOD! Did you really need 400 pages to convey just one thing?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I've read better fanfiction than this. It's truly astonishing how convoluted and drawn-out this is.

Okay, I need to calm down. But seriously, 50 years?!?!?!?! Is that really necessary?!?!?!?!

This just seems so excessive and could have been presented in a much more concise and engaging manner. It makes me wonder if the author was just trying to fill space or if there was some other underlying reason for this overly long and perhaps somewhat tedious approach.

I could hardly relate to this book at the beginning.

The format it adopted was quite interesting and appealing, which initially caught my attention. However, as I delved deeper into it, I found that it was unnecessarily long.

The excessive details and drawn-out descriptions made it a bit of a struggle to get through.

But, surprisingly, somewhere towards the end of this book, something wonderful happened. The lifelong wait that the characters had endured finally blossomed into hope.

It was a moment that touched my heart deeply.

I, with my whole heart, cherished this glimmer of hope that emerged from the pages.

It made me realize that sometimes, even in the most seemingly unrelatable and long-winded stories, there can be a gem of beauty and inspiration hidden away, waiting to be discovered.

And this discovery made the entire reading experience worthwhile.

Rosie and Alex have been best friends since they were a tender 5 years old. As time gracefully passes, their deep and unwavering friendship gradually blossoms into a beautiful and passionate love.

However, the unpredictable nature of life often gets in the way and unfortunately pushes them apart. Their paths seem to diverge, filled with various challenges and obstacles.

Told through a charming collection of notes, heartfelt letters, digital emails, and instant messages, "Love, Rosie" is truly an enjoyable read. The story will make you wholeheartedly root for Rosie and Alex to finally come together and find the happiness they deserve.

Yet, you will also find yourself groaning in frustration when yet another life-changing event unexpectedly intervenes and throws a wrench in their plans. It's a rollercoaster of emotions that keeps you engaged from start to finish.

I read this book as it was recommended to me by a friend.

First and foremost, I adored the friendship between Alex and Rosie. The story commences when they are merely 7 years old and extends over nearly 50 years, told through letters, emails, cards, and IMs. (I wished the letters had dates on them. It's just my personal quirk. However, it didn't truly detract from the story ~ it's just my own preference.) At a certain point, Rosie realizes she has feelings for Alex, but he is already in a relationship with someone else. A few years later, Alex discovers he has feelings for Rosie, but by then she is married to someone else. And so the cycle continues. The timing is simply never right for them.

Those of you who have read the book are familiar with what is known as “The Silence”. I could go on and on gushing about this part. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this? Yes, it's a fictional tale and I admit to reading a fair share of romance novels, but when Rosie and Alex had their brief moment of silence, I knew precisely what they were communicating. You lock eyes with someone who has been your friend for years and in an instant, everything else fades away. All you see is this person who has been by your side for so long, and in that moment something alters. There is something more. It is an astonishing feeling.

Returning to the book, it was an effortless read, for which I am always grateful. Something to cozy up with and simply enjoy. Of course, there are also the nitpicky aspects. By the end of the book, Rosie and Alex are 50 years old, yet they were emailing and IMing each other in school, during excel class? Of course, there are no dates in the book at all, but I assume they are 50 years old now, in the present ~ when they were in school, excel and IMs did not exist. Then again, perhaps because there are no dates in the book, it is supposed to be set in the future ~ but I don't think so either. Again, that's just me being overly critical and it really didn't take away from the story for me. I simply chose to overlook it and move on.

In addition to Rosie and Alex, the reader is also introduced to a whole host of side characters who are just as endearing as the main characters. This simply enhanced the enjoyment of the story for me.

I did manage to get through the entire story without the good cry my friend had promised me. I laughed out loud, I did get a bit misty-eyed a few times, and I had several out loud “awwwww” moments. And then I read the last three pages. And I cried. The entire experience was a fun, zany, emotional rollercoaster for me and I loved every single minute of it. I would say this was a Very Good read and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I read "PS I love you" a few months before this book and I really hated it. So, when my neighbour gave me "Where Rainbows End", I thought I'd give Ahern a second chance. Well, that was a big mistake.

The entire story is presented through the e-mails, letters, and texts that the characters exchange. This idea might seem good in theory, but in practice, it just doesn't work. Because everything that happens is explained in this way, as a reader, you only get brief glimpses of what actually took place. Each character is extremely biased, and any hope of character development is completely lost. You never really get to know the characters on a deeper level or understand their true motives. The story feels disjointed and incomplete, and it's difficult to become fully invested in what's happening. Overall, "Where Rainbows End" was a disappointment, and I won't be giving Ahern any more chances in the future.

Where Rainbows End has been my second experience with Cecelia Ahern. The first one was a long time ago with the book P.S. I Love You. I read it after watching the movie and falling in love with it. It wasn't a bad read but I much prefer the movie. I didn't plan to read more of her books. The truth is I didn't know any other title until this February when with some girls we organized a joint reading and this was the chosen book. To be honest, it didn't catch my attention. I didn't think it might not be to my liking. I just didn't see myself reading it and I wish I hadn't because its reading has been one of the worst in recent months.

You may wonder why I disliked so much a book that everyone seems to love. Was it that bad? Well, yes, it was very bad. I didn't know whether to write a review or not but I felt the need to do so because most of the reviews of this book on the net are very positive. So I thought I could well favor the statistics a little as far as negative reviews are concerned. They will still be only one in a hundred but something is something.

Where Rainbows End is the story of Rosie Dunne and Alex Stewart. They have been friends since they were five years old and they communicate a lot through notes in class or letters when they are not close. And as they grow up, with text messages, emails and letters. The book is written in epistolary format. Of course, it's not like Dracula, 84 Charing Cross Road or Letters from Skye. It's more like Pulsations or Croquetas y wasaps.

Where Rainbows End was a bad read. The plot drags on a lot. The format is poorly executed although as it's all pure dialogue, it reads fast. But I don't think this is always a good thing. And you also don't manage to connect with the characters and most of them are very stupid. I don't recommend it as I think it's a complete waste of time to read about two people who waste their lives and the opportunities that are constantly given to them. It's an epic drama with a half-decent ending. And what's there where rainbows end? The tons of hope and common sense that the novel lacked.

Life is truly a funny thing, isn't it? Just when we think we have everything figured out, when we finally start to plan and get excited about something, and feel like we know the direction we're headed in, suddenly everything changes. The paths shift, the signs point in different directions, the wind blows the other way, and before we know it, we're lost. It's so easy to lose our way and our sense of direction, even when we're following all the signposts.

This book has evoked so many intense feelings and emotions in me. There were times when I was laughing like a crazy hyena, and other times when I was crying as if I was the one with a broken heart. There were also moments when I was completely swooning over Alex and Rosie. Oh my goodness, it was just so good!

To be honest, I probably wouldn't have picked up this book if I hadn't seen the hilarious and cute movie trailer. Sam Caflin looked so hot in it, and Lily Collins also looked really good. That's the story of why I decided to give this book a chance.

Now, let me tell you a bit about the gist of the story. Rosie and Alex have been best friends since they can remember. They've been through a lot together, including happy, sad, and embarrassing moments at school. They've even had arguments. But when Alex's family has to move to the US because his dad gets a good job offer, their lives change forever. They have to rely on mails, letters, and IMs to communicate. Rosie is heartbroken because she has feelings for Alex but is too scared to admit them.

Rosie applies to Boston University and gets accepted, while Alex gets into Harvard. But life has other plans for them. Rosie gets pregnant after sleeping with a guy on the night Alex doesn't show up to escort her to a gala. She decides to stay in Dublin and raise her daughter, even though it's not easy. She struggles to make ends meet and raise her daughter while working on various jobs. Alex, on the other hand, successfully graduates from Harvard and starts a family with a woman he thinks will complete him.

So, the question is, will there still be a chance for Alex and Rosie when so much has already happened? Let me also tell you a bit about the characters. Rosie is a single mom like myself, and I really identify with her. She's lucky to have a best friend like Alex, who is always there for her, even though he's in another country. He gives her moral support, which is really sweet. I'm so proud of Rosie because she changes, matures, and makes good decisions for herself and her daughter. She transforms from a weak and undecided teenager to a strong and confident young woman.

Alex, on the other hand, is a good friend to Rosie, but I have to say he's a bit of a coward. He has feelings for her but doesn't act on them. Both of them are cowards, really. But still, he's the guy! He could have saved Rosie a lot of tears and pain if he had just been brave enough to admit his feelings. However, like Rosie, Alex also matures as the story progresses. He's a good dad, a good uncle, and a good husband. He tries his best, and you can see that throughout the book.

In conclusion, Alex and Rosie's story reminds me of the song "Realize" by Colbie Caillat. They were perfect for each other, but they were too scared to take a chance and risk losing their friendship. They thought that staying friends would let them keep each other longer, but in my opinion, that's not the case. As time passes, they'll have a lot of "what ifs" and "what could have beens". But despite all that, I was happy with the ending of the book. It made me believe that if two people are meant to be together, fate will find a way for them. The story was told in a very unconventional way, through letters, emails, and instant messages, which made it really unique. The pacing was also very fast, so you can breeze through the lives of the characters and the people around them. If you're looking for a sweet love story about two best friends who lost each other but found their way back together again, then I highly recommend this book. It may sound cliché, but it's not at all. I loved it so much! And I can't wait to see the movie!
