I listened to it as an audiobook and have to say that the voice of the lady made the audiobook very appealing. If I'm not mistaken, it was the dubbing voice of our Anny Wilkes from the novel 'Misery' or also 'Berta' from the series 'Two and a half men'.

The story started exciting right away and although, in my perception, there were again very many longueurs, the book still generally appealed to me quite well. Since the whole thing slips a bit into the surreal, I found it all the more exciting to see what Stephen King has made of it. And of course, what happens here appeals to the reader because most of us will be on Rose's side. The picture, which plays a big role here, is an interesting thing and really sets the story apart from others. It's always worth reading and exciting. A tip from me. (:

I read this piece of work with the awareness that it is one that not many people seem to like. However, I truly believe that this very fact actually contributed to my enhanced enjoyment of it.

When I embarked on reading it, my expectations were set extremely low. But to my pleasant surprise, it managed to deliver in a way that exceeded those minimal expectations.

Perhaps it was the element of surprise that made it all the more appealing. Since I wasn't anticipating much, every little positive aspect that I discovered while reading came as a pleasant shock.

This experience taught me that sometimes, going into something with low expectations can lead to a more fulfilling and enjoyable encounter. It allows us to be more open-minded and receptive to the unexpected qualities and merits that a particular thing may possess.

In conclusion, even though this may not be a widely favored piece, it has managed to find a special place in my heart due to the unique way it defied my initial low expectations and brought me unexpected joy.

People often knock King’s finales.

They seem to be overly critical of the way he ends his novels. However, I absolutely think that the last chapter and the epilogue save this novel.

The final chapter ties up all the loose ends in a satisfying way, answering the questions that have been building throughout the story. It provides closure and a sense of resolution for the readers.

The epilogue, on the other hand, offers a glimpse into the future, showing what happened to the characters after the main events of the story. It adds an extra layer of depth and gives the readers a chance to see how the characters’ lives have changed.

Overall, I believe that King’s use of the last chapter and the epilogue is a masterstroke that elevates this novel from good to great. It shows his skill as a storyteller and his ability to create a memorable and engaging reading experience.
