Ooops, I'm falling down on the job! I finished Fanny several weeks ago, and on my shelf she'll stay forever more. This is my favorite Jong, funny and sweet and ridiculous, and the best lists (pages long!) of euphemisms for naughty bits that I've ever read.

Fanny is a wonderful protagonist, and I'd have loved to be part of her merry band of pyrates had I lived in her world.

A really, really entertaining and outrageous story which I remember clearly 2 decades after reading it.

Feels like porn after a couple of drinks; feels like high fi literature the morning after!

I thought this was funny and bawdy, not pornographic as some have said. The historical references appear true to the times. I love how determined Fanny is and always, most times, thinking ahead.

Picked this up at a thrift store, as I do so many of my books, and fell in love with it. I guess first reading Eric Jong at the age of 50 makes me a late bloomer, had no idea what a remarkable writer she was. I fell in love this story of pirates and witches and reluctant whores, Fanny's fierceness in her own womanhood and love on both land and high seas.

Skøn, underholdende og psykologisk skarp bog, som leger ed tanken om, hvordan en moderne kvinde ville have oplevet 1700-talket samfund og moral. Bogen referer og bygger på den erotik roman Fanny Gill (som også kan anbefales)
