These poems are fine, but not really my thing. This often seems too academic, and not detail-oriented enough for me.

I loved this collection of poems that reveal so many aspects of love, sex, humanity, longing, honesty, anger, despair... Jong really showed us the complexity of her humanity... or if not hers, humanity as she sees it. At times heartbreaking; at times shocking and at times tender - I love these poems.

she'd get 5 stars if the only thing in the book was "Seventeen Warnings in Search of a Feminist Poem."

Maybe my favorite collection of Jong's, though I haven't read it in a few years. As always with her, this book is unforgivingly eloquent and rapturous in its leave-taking.

This was definitely closer to five stars than four though as in most anthologies I liked some pieces far more than others. Overall, I loved her voice in these poems. They made me want to read more of her works.

Sometimes hitting great notes, but mostly just ok (sometimes kinda bad).
