I realize this issue with the authors of wildly celebrated books - rest of their work usually fall short in one way or another! Umm, that's just natural ~ Theoretically it's impossible for all the books of an author to be bestsellers! And for the best title to be the best (e.g., for Orwell it's 1984), the rest of the work either has to be less or far from the shadow of the best!
