This book is incredibly impactful. Beginning it, I believed that it was the story of a man’s death. I did not realize this was not the case until after I finished the book. This book is the story of a man’s incredible faith and obedience throughout his entire life. We are given a front row seat to how Jim Elliot lived every single aspect of his life for God. Amazing book.

Must read. Jim Elliott’s life is incredibly challenging and was a great encouragement to me.

This is not most people's typical read, I don't suppose. This is book tozalzabwth chew on, one meaty morsel at a time. If you want an example of what a fully committed follower of Jesus is, this book will show you! Jim Elliot strikes me as a modern day Paul (the apostle of Christ who, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote much of the New Testament in the Bible.) I have been challenged. This book overall is outstanding. It is a must read for all Christians. This is what a true Christian life should look like. This man can be added to the list of Faith Giants in Hebrews 11 because he threw off almost (marriage wasn't given up) every encumbrance for the Kingdom of Heaven. He was truly a man of GOD and they truly don't make them like this anymore. I pray with all my heart that God raises up men who look past their own desires and throw off anything that keeps them from heaven. Jesus himself told the disciples after they said they gave up everything that their reward will be great. I have no right to judge but this and his fellow missionaries will have a great reward in heaven.
