This book was instrumental in changing my life in 2008. It shifted my perspective regarding God's love in a way I had never encountered before. Later, I watched the DVD series of this author teaching this book's content live at a workshop. Really good stuff - really deep and very healing. I highly recommend it. Especially if you've been turned off to the concept of God that was presented to you through religious institutions. This is very different than what is usually taught.

This was an excellent book and I read in the season of my life where God was exactly addressing these very things in my heart. I was skeptical that this book might be lopsided and a bit too much ‘hyper-grace’, but I was wrong. This book is well balanced and full of practical examples and tools.

I recommend this book for anyone maturing in their walk with Jesus.

Jack Frost poured out his heart in this book in such a real, raw, and transparent way, it captivated me as I was able to relate to the words written on every page in a way I was not expecting. Frost takes you on a journey from revealing Father God’s love by explaining how you were created to experience God’s love and embrace, to listing out certain ways or thought patterns that may currently be hindrances for you to experience Father’s love, and he concludes the book by sharing how you can process this information and Father God’s love. Throughout this book, the main point of how God radically loves you and pursues you despite what your past circumstances may be leading you to think and how we were created in His image to live in deep daily intimacy with Him is found at the turn of every page. This book has such a unique way of making you feel seen and that you aren't the only one who ever had those thoughts you were too ashamed to admit. As you read this book, Frost’s raw transparency and clear depiction of his own story and shortcomings, and as he shares his witness of how he found Father God’s embrace you will undoubtedly find yourself convicted of sins you have committed against love in your own life. Some you may have already known but would never want to outwardly admit, and others will come as a shock to you how you never realized how it was all intertwined and the sin would keep you in a constant spiral leaving you feeling disconnected from Father God’s love. It was filled with so many "aha!!!" moments for me. This book is rich in content and gives you practical steps, walking you through specific prayers, and practically holding your hand in such a loving way toward repentance. After reading this book, you will find a revival taking place in your heart as you begin to receive a true conviction of your sin and cry out to God for His forgiveness, mercy, and grace. In doing so, you will be met with a gift as you experience Father God’s sweet embrace that has always been there.

This book is a personal favorite for understanding our identity as children of the King.

We all have filters we are working through when it comes to our view of God, especially in accepting Him as a Father. Our upbringing and life experiences have shaped our understanding and in many cases created poor definitions in our hearts of what a Father is. Jack Frost caught a revelation of God as Father that changed his life. In this book he does a brilliant job of sharing his journey and walking the reader through an inner healing of sorts. This process not only helps to redefine what a Father is but also creates a path for intimacy with God and experiencing His embrace. If you have struggled with the concept of God as a loving Father this book will most definitely help.

I can't say I love Jack Frost as a writer, or particularly the execution of the book as a whole. But it's undeniably a powerful message, with paragraphs here and there that just wreck you (in a good way) and make statements about the Father heart of God that just hit the nail on the head. Also, if nothing else, he totally changed the way that I look at the parable of the prodigal son, a parable I thought I'd heard preached to death now has new life breathed into it in a way that brings such freedom and release for me.

This book had huge personal impact in helping me break some things I have wrestled with for years...some not even realizing they were an issue (ha). I suspect this will be a book I will purchase many times for sharing with others!
