I don't hate this one, I just dislike it. Besides a few details and moments, like meeting Sam and RV, knowing more about Evra (which is one of my favourite characters in this series so far) and Darren's character development, the rest didn't truly interest me.

It was slower than the first one and very predictable. Most of the times I said out loud what the characters were going to say and I was right. Plus, some characters acted really stupid.

It's true that we start to find out more about the Cirque's characters, and I also started to like Mr. Crepsley more, but overall this was mostly boring and not as fun as the first one.

The first book really had potential, so even though the sequel sucked (pun intended), I will still continue with this series.

I love that the book was constant action. Feel sorry for Darren, knowing that he will never really gave friends again and it is because if something he never wanted. Not only did he not want to be a half vampire but Sam, the closest thing to a normal friend he had was killed because he couldn't be turned. RV was a psycho by the end. He seemed so nice at first. I hate to admit but I laughed when he kept screaming about his hands. I mean, how could he even talk?
I wonder if they move on or stay with the Cirque.
