I really liked the illustrations and that overall all colors were equally valued. Didn’t like the fact that “Indians” were labeled “red.”

Loved the illustrations, probably a bit more than the poems, but that's me. Never read the older version, but the artist chosen for this edition was perfect. Each poem is about a color. Need to read to appreciate...but I do agree with other reviewers about the "red" Indian. It stopped me so I lost the flow.

This book is a good poetry book for students who are learning to rhyme and who are learning about colors! Each page has a different poem about a different color! This will help children become familiarized with colors and rhyming words!

This was one of my favorite childhood books so I bought it for my own children. I was an artist and always felt attracted to this artists poetic ideas about colors. Sort of like Julie Andrews singing about her favorite things.
