Clever whimsical "battle" between a princess and a "cool" motorcycle dude as each attempts to tell their version of a fairy tale. I read this aloud to students in kindergarten through the sixth grade and, as they say, "a good time was had by all." Even adults will delight in the wit expressed through the dueling characters dialogue.Illustrations are appealing. Hope to see more from this author in the near future!

Ok, so this may play into some stereotypes about what girls and boys like to read...but it's hilarious! AND FUN!

This book goes back and forth between the girls telling of a fairytale and a boys telling of a fairytale. This would be fun to do as a skit or puppet show.

Very cute book about two intertwining stories as told by a boy and a girl who can't make up their minds about the story.

Wonderful read aloud. Even older elementary students will appreciate the humor! I read this to my Godson's class when he was in 2nd Grade and terrified I would embarrass him, but he was quite relieved when his class really enjoyed the book. This book goes back and forth between a girl and boy trying to tell a story - and not agreeing on every point, but coming together for an ending that satifies them both. SD

Love it! In class a girl starts to tell a story about a beautiful princess and her ponies...a boy interrupts saying that's not how the story goes and tells his version with a cool motorcycle dude. Cute, funny story that captures the true difference between boys and girls.

Amusing fairy tale told by a boy and a girl who add their own perspectives to the tale. Great, colorful illustrations.

Two kids are trying to tell a fairy tale, the girl is trying to tell a story about a princess and the boy about a awesome dude riding a motor cycle. Could be used when talking about personal narratives. I did not really like this book though because it was sexist.

Cameron laughs himself silly whenever we read this. It's very clever.
