This tiny little volume was a collection of some of the articles that Laura Ingalls Wilder had written for local newspapers and magazines in the teens and early twenties.
She writes about farm life, occasionally reminisces about her childhool and talks about the changes she was seeing. There's even one article where she talks about the hard winter of 1880-81, which was the basis of 'The Long Winter'.
I found it an interesting read for the aspects of daily life for her and daily life in general.
This was good and very interesting to read. She's a really good writer - whether it's fiction or snippets of daily life like these were. I imagine she was a pretty popular columnist. She had some great ideas, thoughts and advice though that definitely hold up over time.
Found this book really interesting. As a child I loved Laura Ingalls Wilder's 'Little House' series and they still have a very special place in my heart. Read this book before I visited Mansfield, Missouri where Laura lived for the vast majority of her life.
