A quick little bedtime tale with a lot of little lessons. Despite being about someone called ‘Little Miss Scary’ the book itself isn’t scary to the kids at all. At least not the ones I’m reading to.
Ah, Mr Men and Little Miss, how wonderful you are!
These books made up so much of my childhood. No matter what I would go ahead and pick one up. I worked my way through them all a couple of times. Each one has a wonderful story for the child to engage with, each character being fun to read.
Everyone has a bias for their favourite character, yet every book is delightful.
Very relatable. As a kid I was madame Terreur and my sister was monsieur Peureux and my mum was monsieur Bruit but instead of scaring me back she just yelled at me. But I didn't give up, no, I did not nick off to my Villa Frousse, I did the unthinkable and I went after Monsieur Bruit. Would not recommend, was a bad idea, I regretted it for a long time afterwards. But this is solid evidence as to why I am more madame Terreur than madame Terreur, and in this review, I will pitch myself and my (abridged) life story as the next book in the series, which I have decided will be named Big Ms Terrifying...
I absolutely loved these Mr Men and Little Miss books. I remember getting them from my granny every week. There was so much from these simple characters, I remember filling my little bookshelf with all these books making sure I had got them all in right order. I wish I still had these books but somehow most of them got lost with many house moves or my mum gave the rest away. If I ever have kids, I will make sure they get the chance to experience these wonderful, colourful books.
Well well, when you want to be a naughty and did some crazy thing like scaring people it may be fun in the first time, but doing it every day for the entire life won't be good at all, some people will be so angry and some can't endure it, have fun with friends but not scaring them, or else, you will face same thing of what happened to Little Miss Scary.
