I went back and forth deciding if I wanted to count children’s books in my reading log this year because they are so short but the way these tongue twisters had my brain working I decided to count it
This book was challenging because it had tongue twisters that were very tricky. Dr. Seuss is known for being the rhyming guru. There were so many stories that was imaginative to keep the readers entertained. I learned while reading that you need to have an enthusiastic reading voice to bring the characters alive.
I think this book was way to long to read to young children. There were a lot of confusing nonsense words and I think it would be a little too much for children. It did have a good rhyming scheme. I don't think I would use this in my classroom.
Tongue twisters galore! This book was so much fun to read and I am a little sad I never got to read this as a child. All the made up words and the wonderful rhyming was just delightful to read, even as a grown-up.
This is a great book for young AND older readers because of the fun you can have with all the silly little tongue twisters. I love this book and own it to this day!
I will read this enough times this year to count as a book. It is HILARIOUS. Books these days are trying to be so cute and so clever but is there anything better than being tricked and bested by a book of tongue twisters? Nonsensical stories that KNOW that are nonsense, but then also circle back to pretend they have more to say to you? It’s so silly and so delightful.
