Received this as a baby shower gift before Mercy was born. It combines the well-liked touch and feel ideas with the childish charm of Dr. Seuss rhyming and odd creatures. Each page represents a different need, activity, or observation about a different type of pet with different textures or toys to explore on the page. Hopefully none of them actually end up coming out of the book as babies do love to grab and yank. She's been playing with it all morning since we read it and refuses to give it up.

This book taught my son to read. Knew this word for word at 1.

Now 8 and still has a love of reading. I recommend this to every new parent.

A children's classic... I'll always have such nostalga for this book and its vibrant illustrations and rhymes. Dr. Seuss helped fuel my love for reading at a young age.

This book is a fast, simple, hands-on introduction to seven of the characters from One fish two fish red fish blue fish.
My kids love it, my only complaint is that the yink who drinks pink ink is very hard to operate...it is a tab that pulls down out of the book...sliding the tab back up into the book is/was no easy task. If the tab had been made of a sturdy cardboard instead of just a double layer of paper it would have made all the difference in the world. (All of the other pages are standard touch-and-feel)

I am reviewing this book for my son. LOL. He totally loves it!!! It stays in his crib and when he wakes up, he picks it up and 'reads' it. I don't think he understands a thing that's going on, but he loves touching the various 'things' on each page (this one is a touch and feel book).

A friend gave this to us as part of a baby shower gift.

Synopsis: "From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere!
This touch-and-feel book invites babies and toddlers to pet and play with the most imaginative pets of all. Based on Dr. Seuss’s celebrated classic, this book of pettable pets has fur, feathers, flaps, slide tabs, and cardboard rings to ring Dr. Seuss’s adorable antlered Gack! From the Zed with just one hair on its head and the Wink that likes to drink pink ink, to the bluehaired pet that is fun to brush–the whole family will love bringing these."

My Review: Another great Touch and Feel introduction to Dr. Seuss! Of course being Dr. Seuss there aren't any of the pets we would normally have (I honestly would have liked that a little) but they are all creative and still have hints as to the care regular pets need. Each page has a different touch and feel or activity to keep little one's attention. Munchkin really loves the rings on the Gack.

A nursery version of one fish, two fish, it's a really fun book go introduce pets to the kids. They start imagining all sorts of pets that are funny and creative, nothing like your usual pet cat or goldfish! Love the señora input that babies and toddlers would love exploring too, with fur an feathers to feel!
