the book is helpful in the management of information systems in the computer science department

well yeah managing systems and stuff, don't forget about supply chain management, costumer relationship management too!

This book was the assigned text book for a graduate course. The concepts in the book cover a lot of the areas and information under modern IT. This title seems to be updated frequently, so if you get the latest version, it shouldn't feel dated.

The case studies in the book relate extremely well for the chapter topic. Most are interesting and usually are of a known company, or a known technology that a company adopts.

If you want to just get a nice picture of what types of technologies companies are looking at using, or are using, and how everything relates to each other, then this book should fill your brain with some good information.
