These are definitely more for the hardcore Tolkien fan....a glimspe into how the works were created, and Tolkien's own struggles to unify the story.

I did not enjoy the chapter on maps but the rest was very interesting!

If you are a LOTR fan, this works. If you are not, then this is tough to connect with. I gave it a 5 star rating, if I exclude those who don't like Tolkien.
