Absolutely loved this book, an easy read as if you're quite ADD like me, you don't have to concentrate much but it really captures life in the bosveld! Made me homesick :(

The setting of the book is the Kruger National Park. I purchased my copy on my last trip to Berg en Dal camp. Nature lovers will find the descriptions and interactions so heart warming. If you have visited the various camps described, this book will give you such a refreshing take on the park as a whole and a new appreciation for moments within its bounds. A very light read. It may be less exciting to the average reader. Besides Kobie, we do not really interact much with other characters. In fact, the interactions with the lion carry more weight, which is a strong theme of the book so it's unsurprising.

This book brings both happy and sad tears to my eyes. Kobie Kruger is hilarious and wonderfully conveys her emotions and surroundings in an elegant and easy-to-read style. One of my favourite books of all time.

We bought this book in the Kruger National Park gift shop. It is stories of a game warden's family, written by his wife. She is a delighttful story teller and we enjoyed the memories of our game trips in the park. We like her other book better, but this one was still fun. If anyone wants to borrow it from us, let us know!

I was nine years old when we visited South Africa, I was in the airport bookshop with my mum. She asked what book she should get, and seeing All Things Wild and Wonderful I thought it looked pretty and showed it to her. She liked it and bought it. She read it that day and passed it on to me - it proved to be a great inflight read and I loved it. A few years later I read it again and I was surprised how many things I hadn't picked up on. But I still loved it. I admit - it isn't the best written book ever - but it does make a great read and leaves you smiling until the end.

Don't be put off by the limited number of reviews, just enjoy the chance to experience the South African Kruger National park as it truly is. I fell in love with Leo and afterwards I always had a dream to own a lion myself. Which is never going to happen. But still. It's possible.

Reading this book was like revisiting the beautiful bush of Kruger in South Africa. A beautiful tale of solidarity between humans and wild beasts...makes you change your perspective towards all the 'dangerous' wilderness. A nice read for the admirers of all things wild and wonderful!!

Another great book by Kobie Kruger. This is a must read for anyone interested in safaris / africa, or for anyone who has wanted to go on a safari in africa. It's written by a game ranger's wife and tells the emotional tale of life in Kruger National Park. Her love for Kruger is immense and compels the user to read the book in one sitting. It's an easy read, and one which makes you envious of her ability to shun the excesses of modern life and get back to basics. I also love hearing about all her orphan animals.

An emotional novel, peppered with humour. A great read about Kobie and her family's life in the Kruger National park. Makes me want to go back there.

I love this book! It's funny, sweet and a bit sad. I got the feeling I was back in Africa.
