I am so glad I bought this book. It is nice to use simultaneously with the Four Agreements, it answers the questions that I had and gave a bit more insight to each agreement.

The book changed my perspective in the way that it helped me extenuate the pressure that I put on myself. If you are a person who always seeks the mistake on yourself, this book will make you feel relaxed. However, as everyone said, it is repetitive.

Sweet, tender, it's especially descriptive of the power of Fear and it's deceptiveness. A lovely book; ranks up there with "The Last Lecture" and "Tuesdays with Morrie".

The Four Agreements made sense to me.. So many people have options about personal challenges and about why humans suffer, this book clarifies further why we suffer and what we can do about it.

This book reemphasizes the Four Agreements: “Be impecable with your word (do not gossip), Don’t Take anything personally, Don’t Make Assumptions, and Always do your best.” Parts of this book were helpful, for instance action reaction. “…what makes you happy or unhappy is not what is happening around you, but how you choose to react to it. If you can learn to change your own reactions, then you can change your habits and routines, change the program, and change your life.” What I didn’t like about this book was the wordiness which—to me—seemed to water down the four agreements rather than strengthen them.

It's OK. As a middle-aged adult, I've already done most of these things, but if you feel you do not have control of your life, and you're willing to accept or look past the Christian references, I do recommend it. It's really the Christian references that cost it two stars for me.

I'm sure I've read The Four Agreements before and I've been wanting to read his other books so I picked this up to refresh my memory. I definitely agree with some of the things here but some concepts (or the way they were presented) didn't connect.

Very good advice but take it with a grain of salt

So you will learn in this book that what others say about you is never about you but only about them. Thats OK so long as you take it as a working agreement, and you can accept that sometimes it is about you and someone wants to help you with an honest feedback. In this case decide that you make an exception and do take it to heart. But it is totally up to you to make this decision. In most cases it is really about them only.
