I powered though this book til page about 250 I wanted to love this book cause I read the unwanted by him when I was younger and loved it at that time. the reason I DNFED THIS BOOK WAS CAUSE A CHARTER STARTED TORTURING ANIMALS

Los libros de Saúl son una garantia de terror , sin embargo en esta historia se roza con la ciencia ficción lo que permite que ambos conceptos logren un desenlace muy interesante, debo decir que hubo muchas partes que se alargaron de manera innecesaria y que hicieron que se volviera un poco tedioso, sin embargo al final logra superar todo lo dicho, la calificación final es 3.5⭐

So thrilling and utterly captivating, and phenomenal writing. That being said, I have never, and I mean never, been more mortified reading a book! Proceed with caution!

This one was sci-fi with a horror element. It had an interesting ending, which left the dread remaining. The main character was probably the least interesting out of all of the characters that moved the story along. The story started incredibly slow. The pace did not pick up until chapter 6 or 7. It had disturbing moments, I would read John Saul again. It was not terrible, but it did not make me want to suggest it to others. On to the next one.

I read this several years ago. I’m the type where I typically forget a book shortly after reading it, but that was not the case with this one. It stuck with me enough where the title of the book was enough to bring back memories. Rereading this, I was just as enthralled - although outdated now, it was a fun reread. This time around I have children, and this book has a trigger warning of child suicide which was a bit harder for me to stomach. Overall, great book, good story, and one that sticks with you for years!

John Saul once again takes us to places never imagined!! Great book and a wonderful read. This is a story that makes you think and wonder...could this already be happening in the world. Must read!
