I read this as a child, but had no clear memories of it. However, I listened to this on audio as an adult and enjoyed it immensely - it is much better than I remember.

Several stories are told in the form of rhyming poetry in a humorous way. I highly recommended listening to the audiobook to heighten the experience and enjoyment of the book.

I have no idea what I just read HAHAHAHAH

I can't tell if I liked it or not, mainly because I'm not the biggest fan of poetry, and even less so of poems with very straight-forward story. I mean that in the sense that this could easily have been written out as a story and nothing would have been lost, therefore I don't see any real merit in it being written in a poetry format. That is, of course, a subjective thing though.

It felt like a collection of horror poems, but at the level a child could understand. Animals killing and eating a number of humans for a number of reasons.

It was charming, but that's about it.

#hoeekkk #monttaaahhh

Kisah-kisah berikutnya nggak kalah unik.

Hoahahahaa...

Jadi intinya... Ya, seterah orangtuanya dah... xP #gamorepot

Jilo: 'weinig rotbeesten gezien of over gelezen.

This is a fun book, it tell me many story about some ferocious big animals with children. The book is not series, it is one by one. My favourite story in this book is The Cow, the cow was a most fantastic cow, her name is Miss Milky Daisy. When she was growing up the back of her grow out a pair of wings, it is gold and silver. Then Daisy fly out to the farm to town, many people came to watch her every day, but a strange voice came out, a man cried "That silly cow! Hey, listen Daisy! I think you're absolutely crazy!" Of course Daisy was angry but she didn't show it, she using all her power, dropped a cowpat on his head. Do this story funny? I think it is.

3. This book by Roald Dahl features an abundance of poetry that is nothing short of entertaining and intriguing. He focuses on animals, such as Crocky-Wock the crocodile and Stingaling the scorpion as well as others and takes them on crazy journeys that all students will enjoy.
4. This poetry book is great in enticing children into learning about poetry and wanting to write it themselves. Using the animals and having them go on these crazy adventures, such as when a clever oig decides to go on the mission to save his bacon, get all students laughing while learning about the structure, language and poetic tools that poetry writers will use in their work.
5. Books like this ones are a great way to teach the lesson of personification. If doing a lesson on this students can come up,using an animal and an impossible situation, their own funny poems that use personification and other poetic tools.

Tiny sweet poems that will make you wiggle, squash-quabble and do everything in Roald Dahl's lingual. Dirty Beasts entering your bedrooms, eating you up, planning and thinking, conspiring and giving experiences that will last your entire lifetime. If you are not a smart kid (like Matilda or Charlie or James), they are going to eat you up.
Dahl is crazy and so are these poems. So is every word that has come out of his mind.

Half the poems are about getting eaten.

My favorite poem of all time is "The Pig" but "The Tummy Beast" kind of jumped out at me in this one as I haven't read it until now. This was my favorite author as a kid and it was splendid to remember that while reading this. A fantastic book for any age. Out of the norm and completely mind boggling lol beautifully put though.
