Was definitely longer than it needed to be but the money-making schemes and pet funeral idea were kept me reading. Super cute concept.

The Beloved Dearly is a wonderful book about a young boy who starts a business on pet funerals. His friends join him in his business endeavor. I enjoyed this book because it was able to add humor to serious and sad situations. At some point, our beloved pets will die and this book is able to empathize with students. This book would be great for read aloud or independent reading. Teachers could talk about the theme being about friendship, conflict resolution, and the struggle of losing a pet. This book is for third and fourth graders.
