Another audio book. Well thought-out and written book about Sadie, a girl going through the Great Depression. Sadie and her family have to leave Missouri to find work. At first, Sadie can think of little else than getting back home. She learns a lot in Texas - compassion and forgiveness (both giving and receiving it).

I would recommend The Truth About Sparrows for people who like reading historical books about the great depression. This book shows the struggles of the families during the great depression. While reading, I saw how the lack of food and the difficulty to find work affected the Wynn family. Reading this book helped me understand what an actual family went through besides just reading facts in a history book. Although I did not like that there was no action and the characters never kept me wanting to read more.

This book took my attention and held it till the very last sentence. This story of a young girl and her families life as they leave their home in missouri to travel where money and work is.

This story teaches you about poverty in the old days, the love of family and loyalty of friends.

I enjoyed this book and the way its written made me feel as if i was in the book right there beside her as she is living the story.

Life lessons learned, family love grows and freinships grow and redeemed in this book. Id reccomend it forsure.

This book tasted to me like a Little House on the Prairie for the Depression years. It's full of heartwarming insight on how to live without being too preachy.
