I've always liked Dostoevsky's stories, but these were the first of his short stories that I've read. I really enjoyed them - possibly more than his novels!
Great novella. The triangle love that based on Dostoevsky's own experience. A visitor a friend that you invited to stay at your home but he ends up having an affair with your wife, lowly eh?
Well, this is a slow-burn type of a book -- a diesel engine if I might say, I was rather struggling to find the flow at the first pages, and yet nearing the middle it became more and more unputdownable -- I just couldn't stop reading. Might definitely continue reading his other books for sure :D
A great collection of short stories by Dostoevsky. Although "The Eternal Husband" is a bit long, it proves to be very satisfying. Within this collection my favorites were "The Meek One" and "The Dream of a Ridiculous Man." Actually the latter of my favorites provides a good description of paradise without the Fall as seen from an Eastern Christian perspective.
