Most children can relate to someone being mean to them. Little Bill finds help with dealing with a mean child through advice and help from his family. Teach children that they do not need to retaliate with violence or by being mean.

I read this book because the local library is running a literacy incentive program that encourages readers to select books from a variety of categories. This is an easy reader book with three chapters and a diverse cast of characters. Little Bill meets a new boy at school who is a bit of a bully, introducing a game where players try to say the meanest thing they can. Little Bill goes home and his father teaches him how to put an end this this game. The bully is thwarted and becomes instead a new friend.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The story is alright enough, but it is written by Bill Cosby. I grew up listening to Bill Cosby and it makes me feel a lot of things that he is now in prison for sexual assault.

This book is GREAT. It depicts an African American FAMILY who is very supportive. It is about bullying and has a great ending... where everyone becomes friends.

These books are fantastic and written by the famous Bill Cosby on issues for kids.

I read this book and found no significance of why it was written.
It is about bullying but the resolve of bullying is lacking.

The meanest thing to say is a story about boys having fun. If you just read the title and look at the cover picture you would think that this was a book of bullying, however, it is not. Funny and enjoyable book.

The Little Bill books were one of the first series books that I received when I was younger and I remember reading these books with my family. My favorite thing about these books were the illustrations; they were nothing like other books I had seen. This series was my first introduction to chapter books and I really enjoyed reading them. I recently used this book while doing a running record and the child really liked the book as well.
