A good spy book, too bad you find out too soon who is who. I love that at the beginning of each chapter, there is a text referring to the story behind the book. I met Ken Follet with The Pillars of the Earth, and I won't say that he is a fantastic author, but I like his way of writing. Recommended having a good time, and get to know a piece of history (I don't do spoilers).

I enjoyed reading about Dr Claude Lucas' quick but resourceful ascension from 'bum' to physicist. I also got hooked on the love story between he and Billie, however, I grew to find her hysterical and annoying and after the story progressed I didn't want them together. This story was predictable in regard to Elspeth's and Anthony's deceit and I found the importance of their dedication to the destruction of the spaceship unwarranted. But the premise was interesting and I couldn't wait to see how it ended.
